Why do you think are people diverting from non vegetarian to vegetarian diet?!

Question:

Why do you think are people diverting from non vegetarian to vegetarian diet?

Answers:
Health reasons (hardly any saturated fat or cholesterol, and not as many 'unknowns' in your food), animal rights/welfare reasons (www.meat.org), or religious reasons (many religions have a vegetarian diet). I'm sure there are many more. I became vegetarian for the health (60%) and animal welfare (40%).

Vegetarian diets are HEALTHIER.

Health reasons, spiritual reasons, environmental reasons, ethical reasons.

Some people are starting to realise that they don't need meat to be healthy, and that the meat we eat actually comes from REAL ANIMALS! It's funny how not many people actually think of it that way. Vegetarian diets are healthier, so in our society where health and looks are so important, lots of people are switching to vegetarian diets for optimum health. it's also great for people trying to lose weight

It's for health reasons....trying to lose weight??? orrr be more healthier...but meat is essential aswell....some people re vegetarian just because they feel that it's wrong to eat things wth faces =]

who says...........sorry dear ppl r not diverting from non veg to veg...its rather other way round.....ppl r taking all sort of meals bcoz they all r good for health.

Because they feel sorry for the animals.. Poor things go through so much :-(

they have feelings too

Because they are getting "fed" a load of crap.
Humans are Omnivorous. Our teeth proove that, so does our digestive system. We need meat + fish, fruit, vegies, nuts and cereals in our diets.
Most vegetarians are anaemic because they have poor iron intake. They also have a problem getting ALL the required amino acids into their diet. We should just be eating natural foods. The meat and poultry products we eat should be properly raised, not just because of moral reasons, but because of nutritional reasons. Pick organic raised beef, lamb, pork and poultry. Plus eat fish, sushi and sashimi is brilliant. If you can eat organic vegies or grow your own, do so. If it is possible for you to set up your own vegie and herb garden then DO IT, your body will thank you for it. Put at least 3 different fruit trees into your back yard.
JUST EAT GREAT NATURAL FOOD
