Where can I find a vegan suit sutable for a business environment?!

Question:

Where can I find a vegan suit sutable for a business environment?

I can only find casual jackets.

Answers:
So many suits are made from cotton! I have tonnes of suits bought from loads of different shops made from safe materials.

Can you not go into a standard suit store and ask for cotton only, they must have something! I know some suits contain wool and silk, but not all of them.

If you really struggle, try going to a charity shop and get something second hand. I'm not advocating the use of wool, but if it's second hand and the amount is small, you are neither a walking advert for the wool trade nor is your money going to the people responsible for it. Buying from charity shops is like recycling. Just make sure the charity shop isn't linked to animal suffering via the vivisection industry etc.

What's a "vegan suit"? Is that something that has no products from animals (like wool) or insects (like silk)? If so, why can't you find something made of synthetic fibers (polyester, etc.), cotton (seersucker comes to mind), or linen?

I'm not sure if they make them, but I was surprised to find a bag of cotton, not cotton, not polyster, but made from corn.It was similiar to polyester cotton. IT was actually really nice.

google for hemp or rayon. should be vegan.

There are LOT'S of options for non-animal business attire and suits!

Depending on your budget; you can have any tailor make you a custom fit suit or at the other end of the scale go to the cheapo, only open on weekend places for a suit that is of "All Man-Made Materials". In between are the chains like Men's Warehouse and Kuppenheimer, Jos. A. Banks, Sears, Dillard's, Macy's etc.

Just tell them you require a suit which has no wool, silk or leather. After that it's up to your eyes and preference as to what you'd like. I've owned dozens of suits throughout the years that are accidentally vegan!

Oh, one last tip. Do your shopping on a sunny day and have the salesdrone walk with you into the sunlight with the suit! Many of the cheapie suits shine like a bad '60s sci-fi movie suit and it isn't impressive.
