Why call them skittles?!

Question:

Why call them skittles?

Their good but why do they call them that? do u no why?

Answers:
Skittles were originally made by a company in England, were first introduced in the United States in 1974.

I couldn't find any discussion on the origin of the name.

Perhaps it has something to do with skittles, a British form of ninepins, in which a wooden disk or ball is thrown to knock down the pins.
