Are the chocolate special K cereal vegetarian?
im full vegetarian-vegan i dont eat any animal products. i was just wondering if i could eat the chocolate special k being full vegetarian? doesnt it have some sort of animal thing in it?
Answers:
http://www.specialk.com/ The original Special K, the Chocolatey Delight and the Fruit and Yogurt Cereal have milk in it. It is on there Allergen Information and that is in the US.
I like it on top of a thick Rib-eye
I don't think it's dark chocolate pieces, it's probably milk chocolate, which means no, and sorry. Those did look really good.
Thousands of Special K animals are slaughtered in inhumane conditions every day...
How can you live with yourself...?!?
If your a vegan, then you don't eat any thing that comes from an animal. You will have to read the ingerents on the back of the packet and do some research yourself to see if any of them come from an animal, other than that you can phone up the company that makes them and ask them.
I think the chocolate is made from left over Easter Bunnies.
From the Special K website: Chocolatey Delight contains milk in the ingredient list. Sorry! You could try buying the Red Berries, and adding vegan chocolate chips and picking the strawberries out to save for a snack for later (or eating with both - hey, chocolate strawberry cereal!)
Other types: Vanilla Almond has honey, Original has whey (for the recipe shipped to the UK and US at least), Fruit and Yogurt has dairy so these are not vegan.
The only vegan ones appear to be the Red Berries and the Protein Plus (ingredients look vegan and they are marked kosher pareve, so the sugar shouldn't be bone char filtered).
they use milk chocolate in their cereal chocolate Special K cereal. what you could do is buy a vegan friendly cereal and then add some organic dark chocolate chips to the cereal...that way you win!
