Can you freeze cooked tofu?!

Question:

Can you freeze cooked tofu?

Or would it change the consistency too much? I'm relieved to find out that you can freeze tofu before cooking it, but what about left-overs? I'm exploring becoming a vegetarian, and I would like to try cooking with tofu, particularly the fake bacon recipes. However, my boyfriend is very much a meat eater, and all the recipes I've found would make more than I can eat in one setting. Anyone had luck freezing tofu after cooking it as bacon, stir fry, etc?

Answers:
There are frozen Japanese tofu and fried vegetarian tofu with veggie in the market. Most vegetarian mocked meat made of soy are fried & sold frozen. Just make sure that the tofu is kept in airtight container in the freezer to retain its texture. Thanks!

yes, but it wont come out the same. What happens is the water congregate in the tofu and when it thaws you get a spongy tofu. The nice thing is you get a firmer texture. Now of course this will very base on the orgininal firmness of the tofu

you can. just place them in tightly sealed container. i assume these are friend tfus u are talking about. the low moisture level wont affect the consistency too much. if you heat it up in the microwave, try sprinkling some water onto it so the heat can penetrate easily into the tofu.

Yes, I buy things with frozen Tofu all the time.
