Vegetarian question?!

Question:

Vegetarian question?

Is it true tht your skin turns yellow???
Im tring 2 b 1 & I heard tht they r very unhealthy and they turn yellow......I dont' wanna b yellow

Answers:
Actually it's the other way around! Vegheads skin stays healthy much longer than meaties as a general rule. You seem to be fairly young so that's not an immediate concern of yours but in about 20 years when your friends are nightly slathering goo to stop wrinkles, getting botox or plastic surgery you'll enjoy the difference being veggie makes in the rate you age.

BTW; should you ever wish to make yourself turn orange (for Halloween or whatnot) juice large amounts of carrots and drink as much of the juice as you can stand. Five pounds of carrots per 100 pounds of body weight makes you slightly yellow/orangish. 10 pounds will make you look like you belong on Star Trek. Doing the same with beets turns you red with a slight tinge of purple. Both are harmless and fade in a few days.

Vegetarians do not eat fish. A fish eater is a Piscivore. Spread the correct word!

it depends on what your eating. I know that too many carrots will make your skin orange, so bee sure to vary on what your eating.

its all nonsense ..

take supplements or multi vitamins. vegetarian diet lacks some essential nutrients

If you choose to be vegetarian you will not turn yellow. Whoever said that i think is an idiot.

a vegitarian diet is rather healty as long as it is careully balanced, the yellow pigment is sometimes found in those who eat way too many carrots, yams, beets etc. it is harmless.
unless it is jaundice which is a symptom of liver disfunction or too little rest

yeah.. too many carrots and veggies in general can change your skin color.

lol no.
:)

That is a very popular stereotype of us though.
Is Toby Maguire (spiderman) yellow and unhealthy?

Here is a cool list of celebrity vegans and vegetarians.
Oh yes, and I am not yellow or unhealthy, and I have been veg for over 6 years.

Have a great time!

A bad vege diet is just as bab as a bad meat diet.

Are meateaters red?
I'm vegetarian since one year and vegan since a month and my skin is NOT yellow and it's NOT unhealthy. Can't imagine why my skin should turn yellow. My sister is vegetarian and is not yellow, too. I know many vegetarians and they are not yellow... who told you this nonsense?

No, believe me, you won't turn yellow.... Don't worry about that.
And it is not unhealthy to be a vegetarian.
You might want to do some research about vegetarianism first... here are some links:

Hope that helps. Good luck.

I can't get anymore yellow than I already am.
Only a tan changes my color. (lol)

LOL!Trust me,thats so untrue.

omg,thats a bunch of bull.we dont turn yellow.we r perfectly healthy.there is nothing wrong w/ bing a vegetartian.and w/out meat,we r alot healthy in our eating habits.

absolutely not, my skin has most definitely never turned yellow. that is called jaundice and happens when you have liver problems. ignore the people who say being a vegetarian is unhealthy- as long as you get the nutrients you need and don't replace meat with fatty/sugary stuff, you will be fine. go here for lots of info on being a veggie: http://www.goveg.com/
