Filipino vegetarians? why are they so fewwww?!

Question:

Filipino vegetarians? why are they so fewwww?

we're a third-world country and i accept the fact that mooost are poor. AND unhealthy.. can too much protein or too much carbs replenish the intended amount of nutrients needed by the body coming from vegetables?

Answers:
Oh, the same reason there are so few healthy eaters in the USA and Canada... lots of propaganda and availability of low quality foods. Also the Philippines has pretty much been occupied by the USA for a long while, by the military and American businesses. But traditional food from the Philippines is mostly vegetarian anyway, as with all traditional foods from all around the world.

No, you cannot just eat more protein and carbs to offset the lack of other nutrients. The body cannot convert carbs or protein into other nutrients, unfortunatley. Basically, the people of the Philippines should get back to their roots and look to their traditional foods and lifestyle. So should we all.

there are filipinos who do live below proper nourishment...a clear lack of proper education and carried with commercialism of snacks, fastfood and cheap quick or instant noodles...if the advocacy on proper nutrition and hygiene is imbibed, then we all get the desired nutrional daily requirements our bodies need---we just know all too well that everything in this country is politically dictated....very sad indeed!
