Edible oil for human consumption from carcasses of dead animals?
few months back it was in the leading news channels as a late night story about edible oil being extracted from carcass of dead animals around cities like hyderabad and ghaziabad and oil being used by big and small hoteliers/small shopkeepers, all around the country ,as it being very cheap and profit margins are high at the end of the day for the supplier and the buyer. this is all happening with the connivance of higher authorities. IS THIS TRUE? IF YES THEN WHERE CAN I GET TO KNOW DETAILS ABOUT IT ON THE NET? IT IS SAD THAT I M A DIE HARD VEGGIE. I WISH I CUD B A NONVEGGIE. THANX IN ANTICIPATION PLZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ever hear of lard, suet or tallow? All those are common example of animal fats that have been rendered from dead animals. I don't know how your laws work in India but in most countries rendering plants accept all kinds of animals for processing. The products obtained end up being used in all types of products from foods to drugs to cosmetics etc. In the US it's not at all unusual for pets to be fed products containing renderings from euthanized pets!
If you want to learn more about rendering just run a few searches on rendering plants, rendered products, hydrolyzed animal fat, hydrolyzed animal protein etc.
