Question:

What beans can safely be eaten raw, example kidney, black, beans?

I asked a previous question where one of the respondents said kidney beans eaten raw is dangerous.
so I was wondering if this goes for all dried beans

Answers:
Whatever you do, DON'T eat raw red kidney beans! I've been sicker than a dog for 2 days! Read this article:

It would only be dangerous if you ingested a quantity of them dry, then they absorbed liquid in your stomach, it could be an explosive situation to say the least, very painful.

The only type of beans that I know of that have to be specially prepared to remove toxins before ingesting at all, are hyacinth beans.

Why on Earth would you want to eat dry beans???

Garbanzo. Love them. You can put them in salads or cook them as in falafal. Decent amount of protein too.

If you mean raw as in dried and straight from the bag or package, you'll have a fine time trying to chew them. but if raw means that you're plucking the from the pod and eating them that way, you won't have any problems with them. They are not dangerous and anyone who tells you anything to the contrary doesn't know what he's talking about. The worst thing about eating dried beans is working the jaw. Soak them over night until them soften. You can eat them, but they aren't very digestible at this stage.

actually it is not very safe to eat any beans raw, its pretty dangerous.
