As you begin your change to a more wholesome diet, remember that tastes for foods are learned. You may want to begin slowly, by replacing high-fat dairy products with fat-free versions and eating meat less often. However, making a complete break from animal foods is so rewarding that it’s actually easier for most people. All your needs for protein, calcium and other vital nutrients are easy to satisfy if you eat enough calories each day from a wide variety of foods.
some foods you can eat r Legumes such as beans, peas, and lentils contain the limited tryptophan and methionine amino acids. A combination of legumes with grains, nuts, and seeds can provide a complete protein balance. Consider a meal that includes combinations such as lentil soup and cornbread. Grains such as rice, wheat, oats, barley, corn and rye contain lysine, isoleucine, threoninethe amino acids which can be combine with legumes and dairy products for a complete protein intake. Consider a vegetarian meal that combines kidney beans and rice or grain cereals with milk. Nuts and Seeds including almonds cashews filberts, walnuts, pumpkin, sesame, and sunflower seeds contain lysine and isoleucine amino acids which are best combined with legumes and dairy.Examples of these meals include kidney bean soup with sesame seeds. Milk alternatives such as rice milk, almond milk, and soy milk are also available, while olive and other vegetable oils can be used as a healthy butter substitute for baking as well as sautéing food. You may find that many of your dishes are already meat-free such as pasta dishes, while other meals, such as those containing grain-rich tortilla shells, may not even require animal products in order to meet complete protein requirements. It is additionally recommended that food rich in vitamin C including fruit and vegetables such as strawberries, citrus, tomatoes, broccoli and cabbage be eaten at the same time as iron-containing foods to help the body absorb vegetarian sources of iron.

Here are some things you can do when you start to falter or vegetarianism seems too difficult. It can really help to focus and keep these things in mind. Not all of them will speak to you and your reasons for going veg, but each one is important...Think about the suffering involved. When you think about the suffering that pigs, cows, chickens and turkeys, billions of animals in the USA alone are brutally treated before being inhumanely killed go through their whole, short lives so we can eat a unhealthy meal it becomes easier to turn away food from animals. Think about your health and the health of your family. Think about what raising animals for human consumption does to the environment and the Earth. If more people were vegetarians or vegans there would be enough food to feed many of the people who are starving to death or dying of malnutrition.

let me know how you are doing in a few weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is not ONE recorded instance of a vegetarian living to be 100.Its NOT healthy.GOD created animals specifically for food.(1 tim:4:4) You will have a hard time convincing ur mom it's ok,'cause it's NOT !

buy books, read them, do it correctly, it is a very safe and very nutritious diet if done correctly. go on line and get some statistics memorize them become interested and passionate about the subject and you will stay focused. your knowledge will win over your mom.

A Healthfood store can give you all the help and advice you need!

if someone rush upon you for killing then what will be your reaction. Do you know there is creation of great viabriation within our body due to fear of death that melt with blood. Innocent animal/birds also fears of such slaughtering and that viabriation is going within eater. Why our dead body is destroyed immediately. After death of any living on the earth has to be destoryed beacuse deadly bactria is immediately start creating to eat dead body which all Non vegetrian eat.

I have seen so many animals and birds run away from slaughter house and in case if it is not possible for them then you will observe their feeling. Due to know how wild animal drinks water. They are eating water. other than wild animal drinks like us. you will understand difference.

It is also to be noted that the food which suits to digestion should be taken. In forest lion or tiger kills animal and hving his food sleep for entire day but Monkey, birds eating fruits vegetables keeps on eating and never take rest since it is digesting instant.

If you need tips to stay focussed then you are not ready to make the change. However, becoming vegetarian was the best lifestyle change I have ever made. I feel much healthier and have more energy (even without the meat).

What I did to convince my mom was simpily told her the reasons why I was choosing this and hoped she would ecxpet it. I explained I she declined I would still not eat but that I hope she will help support me to make sure I'm healthy enough. My mom realized you can't shove meat down someones throat each day and decided to recommend me to a Dietition/Nutritionist. One visit is all you need. They can make you a diet plan and give you list of foods, recipes, and sites that contain some also. [A word of adivice, if your going to stop cold turkey make sure you get enough protien! When I stopped and didnt have enough protien I got bad leg cramps and fatigued easily.]
