Should I be A vegitarian?!

Question:

Should I be A vegitarian?

Answers:
I think only you can answer if it is right for you ..and we can only answer what is right for us .. but I am answering because of the misconceptions, and false information out there .. any diet can be healthy or unhealthy depending on what you put into your body..so let's compare both meat eaters and vegetarians that both eat what we call balanced diets .. the vegetarian will out live the meat eater by about 4 years , they usually do not develop high blood pressure , heart disease , diabetes , and many other illnesses /cancers .. this is all fact and is well documented and can you can read about it ...the health benefits.. many athletes while in training go vegetarian and when people get sick they advise you to limit you meat intake not your veggies ...... so all that aside ...... taking into consideration the chemicals, antibiotics, growth hormones(wonder why our population is becoming obese) , pesticides in meat .......... how do you feel about taking an animals life if you do not need it to survive and be healthy ? how do you feel about the way MOST farm animals are treated today in this country ? you need to consider all the facts and then make a decision .. as much as I want to say YES be a vegetarian ... I think we all must decide our path in life .. for me I truly Love being vegan ..it was one of the best decisions I ever made

Vegan forever

try it.. you never even know if you want to do it..if you never try

First learn how to spell it then do as much research about it as you can.

If you want to, you can try it for a while and see if you like it. I just started being vegetarian (little over a month now), and while the downsides are that its more difficult to eat and order at fast food places and resturaunts I also feel that my energy has improved and I feel better. But who knows, I may go back to eating meat I may not. Depends on your reasons (animals, health-wise), but don't feel pressured to because you have friends/family that try to make you do so, only do so if you really want to. Much luck to you either way, k? :-)

There are a lot of problems with a vegetarian diet. Humans are carnivores, we are designed to eat meat; we need many of the properties that meat provides; eg Vitamin B12 (cobalamin) and essential amino acids. While all the necessary essentail amino acids can be got from quinea and B12 can be got from vitamin tablets, eating meat is a much better idea.

No. It is very hard to nourish the body if it can't get the proper balance of nutrients. The best nutrients come from meat. Humans are omnivores, meaning they are meant to eat everything including meat.

Vegetarians have a tendency to rely on soy for their main protein source. Most soy, unless labeled organic, in the US comes from genetically modified sources and are very bad for the body.

Eat meat...it does the body good.

If you have a reason to be a vegetarian then go for it, having a reason with give you more motivation. Also 'Note' that other answer that vegetarians do not get enought nourishment, well that is wrong. Every dark green vegetable that you eat contains more nourishment then eating meat alone. Most people "THINK" that vegetarians rely on soy for protein. But that in fact is not true. If you have a green salad for lunch with cucumber and other toppings and have red kidney beans. A half a cup of bean contains more complete protein then any peice of meat. Not only that but 1 cup of raw broccoli contains 10 grams of complete protein and 2 cups of cook broccoli contain 10 grams of complete protein. So you see that every raw and cook vegetable contain protein, as well as essentail vitamins and minerals. I would suggest reading some websites and or some books. One book I recommend is 12 days to dynamic health, the McDougall program, by John McDougall. its a great book and will give you some insite. The book is meant to help you transtion easily and safely into a meat free lifestyle.
I hope this information is helpful to you and dont let anyone tell you that vegetarians are sickly or that meat is the the only right way to go. You make the choice on how you want to live you life! Following your own choices will make you a happier person, rather than following someone else's advise.

A vegitarian is a musician that uses specialist guitars.. seeing this is the vegetarian section I think vegetarian is what You ment! Only you know if vegetarianism is right for it. Read up on
it there's lots a books on vegetarianism at most libraries! Do what you feel is right. As it says in the Book of Mark: Never Give Up Even in the Face Of Adversity. ( didn't look in Mark I heard it on Robert Schuller)! Diets or rather styles of eating can be healthy or unhealth.. depends how you do it and the effort make! Most people think vegetarians lack protein but that's farthest from the truth. A proper vegetarian style of eating gets more protein from a variety of foods! A healthier protein than regurgitated protein ( meat). Remember meat is dead.. dead carcass.. and you are what you eat! Do you want to be dead? If yes then continue eating meat!

Only you can answer that question. Please do some real research before you listen to these people who say meat and animal products are good for you, though. Talk to your own doctor, for one, and go to some nutritional websites and books for advice. You will find that a vegetarian or vegan diet is recommended for optimum health. And for those of you who think vegans are all sickly skinny people, take a look at Carl Lewis. He was a vegan when he won his Olympic gold medals, and still is. The human body just doesn't need meat to be healthy.

yes, it should clear your mind so you can spell better
