Are b vitamins destroyed during cooking?
Answers:
No but, after you boil your veggies, try and put a few ladel scoops of the water into the gravy, or something else that you will consume. Much of the Vitamins are in the water now.
no not at all!!!!
They aren't destroyed so much as they are cooked out of the food. If you're working with vegetables, the best thing to do is steam them slightly. You'll notice once you're done that the color of the water has changed to match the vegetables. That on its own speaks to the fact that you lose vitamins and minerals from cooking your foods.
Steaming vegetables is better than boiling it retains more vitamins and they taste better
the higher the temperature or longer the cooking time, the more they are lost or destroyed.
No but if you are boiling vegetables a lot of the nutrition will end up in the water.Steaming is better as it retains the vitamin content.
