I am not sure what part of Virginia you are in, but there is a great Vegetarian/vegan place in Tyson's Corner called the Sunflower Cafe. It's been reviewed in the Post Magazine a few times and all have been good. Also check out the ethnic restraunts in your area--most of them offer a lot of vegetarian options. My favorite is Indian and I almost always get the Palak Paneer. Yum!
