a vegetarian who eats meat is no vegetarian. Some people say they are vegetarians but also say they do eat fish and ocassionally a burger or so - clearly haven't understood the meaning of vegetarianism. Whether you are a vegetarian because you don't like meat, think it's not nice towards animals, or because of religious reasons (to name but a few), here are some interesting facts about vegetarianism:
- meat is an important source of vitamin B12. Vegetarians and vegans have a higher risk of a lack of vitamin B12
- gelatine is made of animal bones and skins and is therefore not suitable for vegetarian diets
- contrary to common belief, not all vegetarians are antiglobalist sandal wearers with poor personal hygiene...
- some people who call theirselves vegetarians eat fish. Isn't fish meat? Or is the way fish are caught and killed less cruel and is it therefore acceptable?
- lacto-vegetarians do not eat meat, but they do eat animal products like cheese, eggs and milk. People who do not use any animal products are called vegans.
No vegetarian eats any meat so your fact is 100% wrong.
Other facts: Less heart disease and certain cancers
