I would imagine choise becomes irrelvant, the instinct to survive would be overpowering and I guess your colleague/companion would start looking like a very tempting morsel - of course that's assuming they dont devour you first...
You don't know unless your in that situation but most people would if they were in that situation because its all about survival and human instinct. It has happened before when a plane went down somewhere I can't remember where and they ate the dead to stay alive.

No i believe in Jesus my savior and best friend-if he dont supply my needs its time to go to heaven-you can pick your friends and in private your nose-use a tissue-but never pick your friends nose let alone eat it-and to me everyone is my friend-but if they are mean I just keep my distance
from the non meat section you ask in-and if you are drawing it out to animals -It is fine not to eat meat, yet Jesus Abraham and others ate meat but not human made in God's image.

Let's hope I would NEVER be in a position to have to make that decision. I always said I would never eat a spider, or a rat, or a snake but I'd definitely eat them BEFORE I had to eat another person.

We had this discussion down the pub....I think I could but my wife says she would die as she couldn't, so I laughed and said i would eat her if I had to.She wasn't impressed ....Hahaha, I was joking

Umm, you know what i have lived a pretty exciting life., oh the adventures i could tell, so i don't think i could physically eat another person. I just don't think i could no matter how hungry i was. I jsut don't see it as being right.

I would very much like to swear that I would not. However, I don't think anyone can really give an answer unless they find themselves in such a situation. When faced with death, a person will do almost anything to stay alive.

there was a case of cannibalism in andies in 1977. A plane crashed in the andies and the surviviors were there for a 2 or 3 months. In order to survive they had to resort to cannibalism. Unfortunatly whether you accept it or not if you are starving enough you will eat anything. I like to think I would not do that because if you survive you have to live with it with the rest of your life.
No way. I made peace with my impending death long long ago. The most important thing to me now is my integrity, and that would be out the window if I became a cannibal. As I wouldn't be able to look at myself in the mirror respectfully after eating someone, I would probably just take a long lonely walk to my death.
If you during a hardship show a side of yourself contary to your beliefs, you never truly believed. You find out who your real friends are during hardships- they say. But you also find out who you really are.
People come up with strangest questions, as if staying alive should always be no.1 priority. To me there are principles and reasons more important than life itself.
All throughout history, people with principles risked their lives for what they believed in. Because what is life if you have nothing to live for?
So no, I would never eat another being. This belief defines who I am. If I did it, I wouldnt know how to go on or why. I dont live life at any cost.
So pleased we all don't have the same morals as many of the answers here. If you choose to eat someone to stay alive over leaving them to live its saying you are the most important person alive.
