Does eating meat compare to smoking?!
Does eating meat compare to smoking?
Are they the same type of harm to the body? but just ingested differently? give your thoughts!
Answers:
Cigarette smoke contains physically addictive beta-carbolines, and so does prepared food. And extra addictive substances are added to cigarettes, as well as to food products too ; when you quit smoking, the loss of addictive substances from cigarettes is compensated by consuming more prepared food, making you gain weight. (see diet suggestions)
Cigarette smoke contains mutagenic heterocyclic amines, and so does prepared food.
Cigarettes can be lethal, but prepared food is even more lethal, because it is absorbed in greater quantities.
Cigarette companies have to pay billions of dollars. How about the food manufacturers ?

thats ridiculous. definitely NOT.
nonononononononononononononono...
Both poison your body, one starting from the stomache to the rest of your body, the other directly to your lungs and rest of body... All nutrients or poisons, once in your bloodstream, travel all over your body...
Only in the minds of holier-than-thou vegetarians. You can get every bit as many toxins and poisons from ingesting plant material as you can from eating meat or smoking a cigarette. Face it, there's something that's bad for you in pretty much everything humans ingest, inhale, intake, etc. But hey, if you want to be a vegetarian, that's fine. Just don't look down your nose at people who eat meat.
NO ! First you don't eat the tobacco.
There are no substantial facts that vegetarian life styles are any better either.
But smoking stinks.
But tell us about an aboriginal group (tribe) of people who are vegetarians that are NOT influenced by some religious traditions.
That is crazy.
Please note that MEAT is listed on the food pyramid. Also note that a much larger percentage of people eat meat than than the percent that does not eat meat. So your theory would mean that a huge portion of society is chowing down on a health risk?
I am a FORMER vegitarian. Lived like that for 4 years. Now I am a Happy and Healthy Meat eater.
No question that smoking is bad for you. That is a proven fact. But meat, Puuhhhlease!
Animals are fed heaps of rubbish, so probably the meat is full of rubbish. There is a thought that vegetarians are at lower risk of getting cancer!
Maybe BBQ comes close to it.
not the same type of harm. Smoking damages the lung. Eating meat affects the whole body.
Both kill, but one kills others as well.
Different poisons but they both have caused much of the amount of disease and death that is so prevalent in the world. Both will kill you slowly and cause cancers of the various organs, such as heart and lung disease. When we see our responsibility before our Maker, with the temples that He has given, then many things will change in our lifestyle. Even things that seem to harm only little will be put away. "Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God." 1 Cor 10:31.
