Is detoxing safe for diabetics???
i was thinking about doing it for 10 days...im now having doubts...
Answers:
Absolutely not.
You can't possibly keep your glucose readings anywhere near level if you don't eat. And fruit juice is a no-no except for very specific circumstances.

I'm diabetic
i'm going to go with no. but if you're serious about it talk to your doc or go to a nutritionist. they could come up with an alternative if your plan would not work.
It could be very beneficial. But, it depends on what kinds of detox program you are doing. More information would be helpful- is it a fast? Masterclense or something like that? Just be careful, use your best judgement and monitor your bloodsugar level often.
Being a diabetic and having known people who have attempted it, my answer is and emphatic NO, you can do dire damage to your kidneys, I have heard of diabetics who have done it along with taking Hoodia, and ended up on dialyasis, one had a stroke, you should never do any cleanese for any more than 3 days, your system cannot handle it, especially if it is just a liquid or fruit based one, you can strip your bowels and then end up with a gastro problem when you finish, that could make it hard to digest or absorb minerals and vitamins at the end of the detoxation process.
It all depends to on the Level of diabetic condition you have I am a Level 2, non-insulin dependant, I am close to 300lbs and my doctor will not allow me to have radical stomach surgery, said it would do more harm than good, if you decide to do it, check with your doctor first, it is in your best interest to be sure first.
you have to be careful about how it's done or do it in a right way
