Question for vegetarians??!
Question for vegetarians??
I don't eat meat, but I don't call myself a vegetarian b/c I still occasionally eat a little bit of cheese and milk on ceral. I have heard from many websites that when people stop eating meat they lose weight. Anyone lose weight after cutting meat out?Was it noticable? If you would like to share how much feel free. Thanks!!

I pretty much stayed the same weight-wise. The trick is what you eat, because even if you cut out meat but you eat things like pasta and bread often, it's really unlikely that you'll lose any weight.

I know a lot of people who lost weight being a vegetarian. Including myself.........By the way, if you don't eat meat ur a vegetarian. If you dont eat dairy or eggs your a vegan. So u can call your self a vegetarian.
Well You Are Still A Vegetarian If you eat cheese and milk. A VEGAN Is someone who wont eat any animal bi- products like cheese or milk. So Yes, You Are A Vegetarian.
GAINED weight. when I cut meat out of my diet, I substituted with eating more bread, pasta, rice ect. to feel full. because proteins are harder for your body to break down you actually feel full for longer, so I ended up eating MORE calories (mostly sugar) which caused me to gain weight.
15lbs in 8mo.
Well meat tends to have more fat than plant sources but that doesn't mean you won;t overeat at a vegetarian. Contrary to popular belief Fat has 7 calories per gram whilst protein and carbs only have 4. Atkins have demonized carbs as the cause of weight gain. The truth is, if you consume only carbs without protein or fat, you will get hungry quicker leading to over eating which in turn makes you fat. Just be sure to have a more balanced meal. People in Americ actually eat an excess of the required protein per day by eating meat. This meat has fat in it as well as protein but too much protein can lead to bone problems down the road
Vegetarians do eat dairy products, so you really are a vegetarian. Just not a vegan.
It is possible. You may lose weight on a vegetarian diet but also you could maintain your current weight or possibly even gain more. Weight loss or gain is mainly about how much you eat, not exactly about what you eat. I cut out many meat products and simply eat more vegetables. When I do eat meat, I stick mainly to fish, turkey, and the occasional piece of chicken. This was for me, a choice to eat healthier, not to try to lose weight. Red meat contains more fat and calories. Also, If you do become 100% vegetarian, it may contribute to weight loss because it could make you more aware of what you're consuming and you could end up just eating less in general. In my case, I have not lost any weight but I feel better physically and mentally.
You are a vegetarian, milk and eggs is fine for a lacto-ovo vegetarian.Yes,I lost weight after going vegan,I started eating more low calorie foods like fuits and veggies and also cut out white flour, soda, ice cream, candy and processed foods.I also started going to the gym.I probably lost 15 pounds.Yeah,it was noticeable,I was never chubby or overweight,I just got my bodyfat% lower by eating healthier, lifting weights and running.Going vegan helped me make healthy dietary choices.
If you dont eat animals at all, you are vegetarian...a lacto-ovo one, the most common kind. Losing weight consists of burning more calories then you take in.
Haven't lost or gained a pound. It really is up to what you eat.
