Which food is the cheapest in cost and richest in protein?!

Question:

Which food is the cheapest in cost and richest in protein?

Answers:
Oatmeal is a good bet. Buckwheat probably has more protein, but not so cheap...

well....eggs are pretty cheap and rich in protein.

All kinds of beans are pretty cheap..

Beans are a great source of protein, and couldnt be cheaper. You can buy them dried, soak them overnight and cook them in a crockpot. Super easy, super cheap, super tasty, super nutritious. Quinoa is inexpensive to and is a complete protein grain. It makes a tasty pilaf or hot breakfast cereal. Nut butters, such as peanut, almond, or cashew are great to, and very inexpensive. Nutritional yeast is a great source of protein and B vitamins

Beans. You will not find a cheaper protein source.

A pound of dried beans is about $1.00.

Chicken leg quarters, the cheapest for your money.I have them on hand in the Summer for BBQs.Hope this helps.
