The one and only time that ever happened to me was on Thanksgiving of 2004...my family and I want to an Indian restaurant for dinner...the lights in the restaurant were so dim that we could barely see what we were eating! We ordered Samosas which are typically made of veggies. When the order came...half a hour later by the way...it tasted wierd..not like the regular samosas...we asked the waiter to take it back inside and check what was in it...well....inside..was chicken! We didn't know what it was because we had never eaten meat before...my mum threw up in the parking lot...my sis started screaming at the waiter and burst out crying like my brother and I. We are a trditional Hindu family so it is against our religion to eat meat...since then we have not gone to the restaurant...that was our very first last time we went to the restaurant!

I ate pork rinds because I thought they were chips.

I have been a vegeatrian off and on for the past 24 years.
I was a strict vegetarian for about 10 years!!!!! I didn't eat red meat, pork or poultry. I did eat diary etc...eggs..
I liked being a vegetarian because it made me watch what I ate and made me learn about farming, pesticides, organic vs non organic, fat vs non fat, etc...
The slip? I don't know. It could be just one day waking up and wanting a strip of bacon for breakfast. Or bar=b que chicken hot off the barbque.

I was having a stressful night at my friend's apartment and started raiding her refrigerator. All she had was alcohol, cottage cheese, and chicken nuggets from a couple days ago. I was already a bit tipsy and pissed, so I grabbed the chicken nuggets. Whoops!

Im a vegan and it has happened a few times that I ate cookies that contain milk because I forgot to read what ingredients it contains.

It happened twice that two family members served me a pie and stew with some meat in it telling me it is completely vegan. When I tasted it in my mouth I spat it out and was so hurt, disappointed and angry which I let them know.

They never did it again, but it's hard for me to trust people now when they say" yeah sure it's vegan". Omnivores simply dont understand that meat isnt food to us.

I was out drinking with friends at a new place. I ordered a cheese pizza, and ate the first slice. It tasted funny, when I grabbed the second one I noticed the pepperoni peeking out from under the cheese. The restaurant puts their toppings under the cheese.
I got really mad, and physically sick (probably psychosematic more than because of rejection). The manager paid for all of my drinks, and food.
I haven't eaten meat "knowingly" in 17 years.

I felt easily agitated on Saturday and could not focus at all so I bought a trout fillet and pan fried it up. It was so good and I immediately felt better.

i ate some kimchi, and it was made with shirmp paste
damn you shirmp paste

I slipped on purpose..a week after I gave up meat I ate chicken. Never had it again since then and never will.
