try hazelnut flavored coffee w/ soymilk... at coffee places yum:) my favorite.
basically anything without milk or whipped cream should be good for you. if you dont know if it has milk or cream, ask! or just order a soy version.
Coffee is a plant product. On it's own, is IS vegan. If you put milk or cream in it, it's lacto-vegetarian. If you drink it black or with soymilk, it's still vegan.
The large cofee chains will have soymilk available and can make lattes, cappucinos, etc with soymilk instead of with dairy products.
You now have me craving a large soy latte, with something called a Tropical Treat along side. That's a small, drop-biscuit-type pastry, loaded with dried tropical fruit and made without any animal products. I could get them just across the street, but the shop is closed for the night.
Yum.
Reva P said it.
Coffee itself is vegan. Once you add dairy, it's still vegetarian, but no longer vegan.
Starbucks and The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf do offer soy alternatives to customers, as do the cafes inside of Borders Book stores.
For making coffee at home, Silk has coffee creamers that you can find in the refrigerated section of the supermarket. They come in Hazelnut, Vanilla, and Plain flavors. You can also just add soy milk.
Caffeine - it's my drug of choice, lol.
