Answers:
If you eat eggs you can call yourself a vegetarian but not vegan. Eggs are an animal product though it is not necessarily a taking of a life to eat them. If you are going to eat eggs knowing where they eggs came from and how they were obtained is always good.

I do however still encourage you to strive to be vegan as much as possible. The health benefits alone make it worth it to as least try.

Maria, It's probable that the eggs from the farm are better than those from the supermarket. Supermarket eggs come from birds caged four to a space little more than two square feet, whereas farm eggs will at least be from a yard, if not free ranging. So the hens will be in better health, and that passes on to the eggs.

Eggs are still eggs, they all come from a fram from somewhere.

The eggs themselves are still eggs no matter where they come from BUT it's the way the chickens are kept and what they eat that makes the difference. I buy eggs that come from chickens that are fed a vegetarian organic diet and are free roaming.

I bought some eggs from a farmer once, and he told me Supermarket A.K.A. Factory farmed eggs were sprayed with a chemical, and could not be sold for a year! Because of the toxicity of the chemical.

An egg is not a vegetable. An egg is a property of a chicken that laid it. Simple as that. :)

I was vegetarian for 11 yeas before going completely vegan, but I didnt eat eggs even back then. It always felt wrong. But since you are a vegetarian, the choice is yours. Whatever feels right to you.
