Answers:
I somehow didn't think you were looking for a list of names of every cheese on the planet ..and almond milk is made from ground almonds and is vegan not dairy so drink all you want .. products to watch for are all cheeses , cottage cheese ,butters , eggs , yogurts , ice creams , sherbert , frostings and icings many made wih lard , lots of biscuits contain animal fat as well , all products with words as whey , casein , lactose , natural flavoring , carageenan or gelatin, ... Because lactose is a common commercial food additive (it is used for texture, flavor and its adhesive qualities), it is important for people to be especially careful in avoiding products that whilst not apparently dairy (or are dairy but normally contain low amounts of lactose) nonetheless contain lactose. Such products include medications which may contain lactose as a filler, most meal replacement powders and protein bars, many "granola" style cereals, pancakes, crepes, custards, 90% of margarines (added for texture), 70% of flavored potato/corn chips (added as an adhesive for the spices), most frozen meals, "double wrapped" sliced bread, even some dried fruit .. It is important to read and hard to list everything but begin to question all .. I went out to eat the other night Italian .. and asked the waiter how the Marinara sauce was made .. he said they added beef broth .. this is unusual in a tomato sauce but it was the case ... many soups ,rice dishes , sauces are made with animal beef or chicken broth (stock) and /or dairy .. some people think bacon bits from pigs are ok and not meat .. the imitation ones are usually ok ..so what I am trying to say is check everything ..after a while it gets easier ... but knowledge is power .. and congratulations !! hope I didn't scare you

yogurt, milk, cheese, butter..

i no

It is easiest to think of the source of your food. So anything that comes from a cow is considered dairy traditionally. Before you eat something make a point of thinking about where it came from. It is also important that you carefully read labels of all prepared foods. I suggest that you invest in an informative cookbook, it will help a lot.

dairy products are those made from cow's milk.

Read the ingredient list on everything you buy. Chocolate, candy, cookies, cakes,,, all that usually contains milk.

Besides the obvious, you really need to read labels. There is dairy in thousands of foods where you would not think to look. I suggest sticking to whole foods and therefore get no surprises.
