Becoming a vegetarian?!

yea. Stay away from meat and if someone asks you for like a hamburger say no i'll take a salad or something. Im gald your becoming a vegetarian. I became one becasue i think that kill animals for our plesure is mean.
Eat pasta alfredo, veggie wraps, bean burritos, PB&J, sauteed veggie(OMG GOOD!), baked mac and cheese.
Also, go to allrecipes.com and put in vegetarian recipes. I found some awesome ones!!
Vegetarianism is easier than you'd think! Most restaurants have tasty veg options on their menus and it's usually very easy to substitute things for meat (i.e.- @ mexican restaurants you can order beans in place of the meat in almost any dish!). And just to tell you- the longer you don't eat meat the less you will want to go back to eating it. I didn't think I could live without meat, but now I don't think I could get myself to eat it!
Yes big time! I have been a vegetarian all my life...but some of my friends are thinking of being a veg too so this is what i tell them...if ever you feel like eating meat..then carry a photo or sticker from PETA...that says fish are friends not food or something...if you want them...check out PETA2.com and order them. Just looking at a sticker or an animal in pain will drive away your craving! I know that it is a big step to take...but now a days there is "fake meat". It is actually tofu made by the Bhuddist monks of Nepal (i think). It tastes just like meat and you can eat it with a guilt-free conscience. If you want to purchase that..then go on PETA2.com and you can order the food. Or for the week you can ask your friends to be vegetarians with you...that way you can have fun and it won't be too hard.
I'm not a vegetarian but I'm Buddhist and most Asian are so during any of our religious holidays, we cannot eat any meat at all.
Anyway, vegetarian dish doesn't has to be boring at all, to add an Asian twist to your day, I recommend browsing through your Asian market's vegetarian section.
Fried rice: cook a pot of steam rice, then on a skillet, drizzle some olive oil, put the rice in, stir fry them with a bag of frozen peas and carrots, flavor with soysauce. If you could find in, get some fried tofu, cut them up and fried them with your fried rice to substitute meat. There's also these cans of bean curds that made to taste like meat but they're not meat that you can add to your fried rice.
Soup: vegetable soup using a can of vegetarian broth (which is a lot more flavorful than chicken broth)
Stir fry vegetable over bed of steam rice: try mushroom, broccoli, etc... anything you like at all.
There are still a lot more, but listing them all will take all day. If you need any other ideas, you can always e-mail me.
It's pretty easy after a week. You won't really want meat because it WILL make you sick & vomit if you go without it for too long. & it just does'nt look appealing.
