Replacing eggs. What works best for you when you bake?!

Question:

Replacing eggs. What works best for you when you bake?

I have seen many other options such as soya flour and water.... What works best for you when you bake without eggs. I already know Ener-G. I want other options.
Thanks

Answers:
Bananas and or Applesauce

applesauce

milk and honey

Theirs actually a product called egg replacer for baking. I shop at Publix and they have a completely separate vegetarian section, some stores have vegetarian items mixed in with whatever it is like in this case other baking items or it sometimes end up in the dairy section along with egg beaters and other heart smart stuff.Hope I helped.

try 1/4 cup (silken or soft) I dont know if there is a difference and If there is one then I don't think it matters because I'va used both.
Try the 1/4 cup tofu for each egg I guess... that is what I did. That is probably not the right measurment though.
Also applesauce and 1 banana for each egg(when the recipe can have banana flavor)

To replace one egg, use 1 tablespoon whole flax seeds. Pulverize in a blender and add 1/4 cup cold water. Blend 1-2 minutes until thickened (may also use flaxseed meal). Multiply for number of eggs replaced. This works very well with muffins, cakes and quick breads.

You might want to add 1/4-1/2 again as much leavening (baking soda/powder) called for, if substituting for more than three eggs.

the applesauce, bananas, and tofu suggested work great, you can also do this..

1 cup flax seed
4 cups lukewarm water

Grind flaxseed to a fine powder (I have a coffee grinder that I use only for seeds and spices) Add water and blend. 1/4 cup is equal to one egg. You can keep this in the fridge for up to 2 weeks, just pour out however much you need. This makes it easy because you always have some ready. (If you're using this for baking you may want to up the baking soda a little bit, it will turn out a bit flatter than normal otherwise.)

Also try...
1 Tbsp soy flour
-or-
1 Tbsp corn starch
mixed with 2 Tbsp water
this is equal to one egg.

These all work but honestly though, most the time I just use Ener-G. :)

Hope this Helps!

OK 75grams soya flour 100mils water and 100grams of dark sugar blend and add to your cake mix replaces eggs work great with vegetarian Christmas cake or Chocolate & Mushroom cake
even ok with carrot cake

A little cornstarch and a bit of oil can replace an egg. I often do so when I bake a cake. I'm not a vegan but I'm not going to walk all the way to the store just for a dozen eggs. The closest store is about a mile walking distance for me! I live outside Enderby!
Oh when You substitute egg by using cornstarch & oil you also need to add a little extra baking powder. Banana Chocolate cake is great! Whether U make it with or without eggs! Don't give up your cake unnecessarily even if U become a vegan! U can have your cake and be a vegan too! There's Vegan Ice cream too believe it or not!

I use flax seed. I grind it in a coffee bean grinder. You just mix one tablespoon of flax with 5 tablespoons of warm water and let it gel for 5 minutes. This is the exact consitancy and equivilent of one whole egg. It works great-I made potato pancakes last night that tasted just like they had egg in them, and they held together well. I make breads and muffins with them too.

check this site it gives many options

Flaxseed or Banana works best for me.
You can make flax seed gel by boiling ground flax seed in water into a paste then you can put it through a sieve to get the gel and use 1/8 c.-1/4 c. to substitute for one egg.

I don't like Ener-G, my baked goods tend to come out very dry and not good. Red Mills had a soy egg replacer that works great though.
