To make soya meat, you first grind the beans to make soya flour, then you extract the majority of the starch ( as there is too much present) & usually you extract some of the fat (quite a bit present as well as sterols) then you put the residue: protein, fiber, bit of starch & fat through a high temperature extruder (>120'C, >2 bar). This is required to denature the tryptophan inhibiting enzymes.- Otherwise all the protein (even the non soya based protein in the meal) you eat in that meal will have the tryptophan blocked & be of no use as protein in you body functions/repair processes. So.. making your own is a tad difficult to do it well, - you will see that no animals eat unprocessed soya - they may be dumb, but not stupid, having the inate ability to sence what is bad for them.
i.e.: Not that suitable for a home based process unless you are a great inventor.

here's my fake meat recipe.. I can pumpkin 14 or 16 oz can. Mix in Soya Sauce to taste.. add in cereal such as oatmeal and wheat germ mix in enough so it is nearly stiff to stir and forms balls
You can use this for fake meat balls or make meat patties. It don't have to be thick if you're making a fake meat loaf! You might like to add a a little seasoning salt to the fake meat! The result is they look so real some vegetarians don't believe they aren't real meat! My recipe was a Burger King veggie burger recipe!
