Does anyone take Flaxseed oil in gelcaps?
Do you notice any changes? I hear it has an estrogen hormonal effect. Have you noticed any weight changes taking the flaxseed oil in gel cap form. Curious...
Answers:
I've taken it, but to 'reduce cholesterol' ... and that showed in my next 'cholesterol test' with the doctor, but I didn't lose weight or feel any HORMONAL changes at all. I'm 56 years old and am 'in menopause' and must 'watch my hormones' because I have a 'heart condition' ... and I think that if there was an 'estrogen hormonal effect' I would have noticed it or my doctor would have seen it in my blood tests ...
I heard about 'flaxseed oil' from my nutritionist, but that was because she was helping me to 'eat better' to get my cholesterol down, too ... she would have mentioned it if there was any 'estrogen hormonal effect' too, I'm sure ... but it is also 'good for weight loss' if you are also 'eating better' because it is 'unsaturated fats' and 'omega 3 fats' that are much better for you if you are trying to 'reduce your weight' ... even if it doesn't actually 'help' the weight loss ...
Lots of people do. But, most gelcaps are not vegetarian, so this is probably not the best section for this.
I dont use the caps, but I use ground flax as an egg replacer in baking. It gels just like an egg when added to warm water. It makes a highly effective egg replacer-I have lost a considerable amount of weight, but cant say if its from the flax or switching to a vegetarian diet. Its high in the omega 3 and 6 oils, so its very healthy for you.
I take flaxseed it's in gel sheets. I don't know if it's available in gelcaps! The gel is made from a bean plant so it's not from an animal. I get the flaxseed gel sheels from a Health food store! Yes I gained about 10# and my chest size is getting bigger unfortunately so is my belly!
