hamburgers dont have feelings either [after they are prepared]
You don't really believe a living fish has no feelings, do you?
Yes, and FYI most creatures feel pain, but regardless of the fact, the fishies are here as part of the food chain, so enjoy, and realize that you're consuming necessary nutrients supplied by the fishies such as protein, and omega 3 acids...
I think that you should eat fish for protein!
Only if you live underneath a bridge
How do you know if they have feelings or not?? Every animal feels pain
If you wish to eat fish than go ahead you are not first person to eat them.
Regarding there feeling don't argue
becuaseof there are no values of fish feelings
but you have sense
No - you don't know if they had feelings - my rule is not to eat anything that had a mother. Makes it easy to decide what is okay.
Substitute flax seed oil and nuts in your diet.
To all the Vegetarians and Vegans out there...
Fish, chickens, cows, pigs, etc...were put on this earth for one reason and one reason only....FOOD!
and a source of protein and sustenance required to build a strong and healthy body!
They were not put on this earth because they are pretty to look at or the barnyard smells good.
God came to earth as a man named Jesus and He ate fish.
Don't eat fish. Some of them have bad chemicals in them which bring up the blood pressure and more. Relating to the fish and feeling. Well, being a fisherman and just fishing and release, I have seen when there is a pond full of baby bass, the mother protect them so I would say yes fish have feelings.
If you are vegetarian no it is not ok to eat fish, because they are living animals. They probably at least feel pain.
Fish do have feelings ,and so do plants (rice, wheat, pulses, vegetable, fruits.)
Is is right do eat them ???
It's the law of nature.
The food chain goes this way, every living thing gets its food from other.
This is the only way to survive.
Non veg acts as supplement if you don't have enough of veg.
If you think there is anything wrong about it,
then you don't eat anything!!
Fish like all living things are healthy most of of the time but do fall ill,i realised this when watching a TV programme on, pisciculture, showing surface skin lesions on fish,I am sure these lesions must have been painful.Neverthe less they are part of our diet & provide with so many benefits ,they are good for our health & are part of the food chain,so for most of us are a welcome addition to our diet, those feeling strongly that they should not be eaten, naturally stay away from fish & other animal products.
if you can. just don't eat fish.
regardless of whether they have feelings or not, they'll definitely harm you because the water they're grown in are very polluted and you'll be shoving down a lot of chemicals down your throat.
they have central nervous systems. they can feel pain and they can suffer just as much as any other animal. so in my mind, id have to say nope.
"No one would ever put a hook through a dog's or cat's mouth," said Bruce Friedrich, PETA's director of vegan outreach. "Once people start to understand that fish, although they come in different packaging, are just as intelligent, they'll stop eating them."
"Fish are very complex organisms that do all sorts of fascinating things," said University of Wyoming neuroscientist James Rose.
"Fish are so misunderstood because they're so far removed from our daily lives," said Karin Robertson, 24, the Empathy Project manager and daughter of an Indiana fisheries biologist. "They're such interesting, fascinating individuals, yet they're so incredibly abused."
The project was inspired by several recent scientific studies -- widely reported in Britain but little-noticed in the United States -- detailing facets of fish intelligence.
Oxford University researcher Theresa Burt de Perera, for example, reported that the blind Mexican cave fish is able to interpret water pressure changes to construct a detailed mental map of its surroundings.
"Most people dismiss fish as dimwitted pea-brains. ... Yet this is a great fallacy," wrote University of Edinburgh biologist Culum Brown in the June edition of New Scientist. "In many areas, such as memory, their cognitive powers match or exceed those of 'higher' vertebrates, including non-human primates."
Chris Glass of the Manomet Center for Conservation Sciences in Massachusetts led another recent study, showing how North Sea haddock developed abilities to avoid trawlers' nets.
"There's no doubt that fish of all shapes and forms are capable of learning fairly complex tasks," Glass said. "They can learn from their environment and experience."
Because fish have a brain and a central nervous system, it is proven that they DO have feelings.
Besides, fish often has mercury contamination. That's reason enough not to eat it, even if they didn't have any feelings.
How do you know that fish don't have feelings? All animals have feelings, even if you can't tell what they are as clearly as you can with dogs.
every think that lives, moves, and breathes feels pain. yes fish do have feelings two. who ever told you that crap?
