Vegan Marshmallows?!

Question:

Vegan Marshmallows?

I've seen ads for some, but haven't tried any yet. Does anyone know of any good ones? I'm seeing all those Easter marshmallow Peeps everywhere and I remember how I used to love them. I need a replacement!!

Thanks!

Amy L. Peeps marshmallows contain gelatin. Gelatin comes from animals, so no I won't eat them.

Clover- I got excited when you mentioned marshmallow cream, so I checked out their website. You're right about there not being gelatin, problem is theres egg whites, so still not vegan. Thanks though

They have vegan marshmallows at this website. I bought some a while back. They're bit more dense and less fluffy than regular marshmallows. I also thought they tasted kinda funny straight out of the bag, but better heated in microwave. I don't think I would buy them again personally, but if you're craving marshmallows like a crackhead that needs a fix, these are definitely worth a try.

Cant buy any in Australia, so I went to www.vegan-food.net/recipe and go to confectionary and you can get easy recipe to make yourself.

From the research I have down, Ricemellow is the only vegan Marshmallow that you are most likely to find at some stores. Otherwise you have to order online and I guess pay for shipping. Here is the link to their comapny. You can call them and ask which store in your city carries them.

They aren't made out of meet if a took veggie scraps and made them into an animal mold would you not eat them either? Vegetarians don't eat meat. Peeps marshamallows are not made out of meat!

Kraft makes Jet-Puffed mallo cream. No gelatin, so you can make rice crispy treats too.
