Answers:
I have been a vegan for 30 years.Had two kids who are now 26 and 30 and they were also vegetaraians their entire life.

You are making a very diffiucult transition. You think that merts give you strength through protien. There are pure forms of protien in cheeses, milk, grains. Say for snacking, you are feeling weak from sports and need a pickup. Have some cheese ,drink some chocalate milk , have some icecream. It works.

When you go home to and eat with your parents eat what they do that is vegetarian. Have a bocca burger for your meat. the ideas are endless macoronia and cheese is a good subsitute. Linketts veg hot dogs are good. All sorts of meat subsitutes at healthfood stores and supermarkets.

Good luck. Your parents will make fun of you or criticize you for awhile.Jusr stick it out and you will reach the point where meat appears as decaying rotten flesh. The smell of cooking flesh will become obnoxious to you.

go to mcdonalds
I dont think the meat they have is real anyway

well peanut butter and jelly fills me up fast, and also whole grain breads or noodles or pasta.

lots of salad and veggies and fish (i dont knoe if u can eat it tho) you can still eat cereal and eggs and stuff like that.

you need more protein eat nuts and try some berries it soungs like your not getting enough food a day try 5 meals a day

yeah steak and fries, or try converting your parents and maybe they will stock up on the vegetables

you're body probably is hungry for protein, so try some peanut butter, nuts, soy milk, cheese, or beans. also, go for high fiber. it'll make you feel full.

If you're vegetarian...not vegan... try egg or egg whites. the protein will help you to feel full. Some cheese will help too.

you should also try more fiber (apples, broccoli, asparagus...). the fiber makes you feel fuller faster, and should help cut down the hunger.

you may not be getting enough healthy fats, so try adding avocado to your diet, or some mixed nuts. Sometimes when your diet is lacking in fats, your body sends signals to eat more.

Hope I could help you out! ;)

eat more protien... TVP is good... great made up with mexican taco seasoning and a can of beans... beans and lentils are good fillers too.... in australia there are awesome sanitarium brand meat alternatives in the cooler section in the fridge section in the supermarket (vegie not dogs are sooo yummy!!)

You can't just not eat meat to be Vegetarian. You still need protein. You didn't mention if you are eating a balanced vegetarian diet. You can't do that if you don't carefuly select the right foods. Talk to your parents and make sure you have what you need (Legumes). Maybe you are hungry because your body is telling you that it needs something you are not providing.

soooo many yummy things that aren't meat! try hummus and crackers its so good. or if your craving meat there is always boca burgers (they are in the freezer section and taste like real hamburger!) also try making a vegetarian burrito: put olive, corn, black beans, salsa, sour cream, sauteed onions with red and green pepper, rice, and cheese in a wrap and grill it - yummm! then there is always pasta. i love tortillini (you can buy that pre-made in the pasta section of the super market all you have to do is boil it) annnd egg plant parm is my absolute favorite. chop an eggplant and bread then fry it. top it with cheese and serve it with pasta and marinera sauce. there is onion rings, french fries, and if ur not a real strict vegetarian then eggs are also good.

try to eat more dairy products and lot of veg. on the main meals..

Get yourself a book about vegetarianism. It'll give you lots of ideas in regards to recipes, etc. It's imperative that you learn how to eat healthy to keep up the nutrition your body needs. Being a vegetarian is not easy. You have to work hard to keep your body fit without protein. You need to substitute with nuts and seeds, etc. Get a book. Don't turn into a "junk food vegetarian".
Good luck.

I would imagine your system is still used to meats at this point .....therefore adjusted for dealing w/ meats ....other foods don't require as much ....mmmm digestive juices.... so w/ the lack of meat .....system is having to come down to maybe a slower metabalism ....although on the other hand system could be telling you that meats are a must for your system .....was for me ......I am very picky about my meats too ...from the wild to organics .....without..... my energy level was always under par .......good luck

i feel your pain. eat peanut butter or icecream or burritos or ask your parents to get you some pad thai or noodles or TOFU!!!

well ive been a vegitarian for 9 years & i live on mac&cheese & salad

Check out these websites-

They both have really good recipes.

Good luck!

Beans and rice.
Nuts
Fruit

Hopefully, you didn't choose to go vegan just because someone else did or you decided on a whim. You need to research about the vegan diet and make sure you have plenty of foods on hand that will keep you nourished.

Spaghetti and garlic bread

That's a filling meal

Cheese Pizza

You are probably hungry all the time because you arent getting enough protein. For meals eat things like beans, and other foods high in protein. For snacks eat nuts and things like chocolate soy milk. Apples and peanut butter are great and so are banana and peanut butter sandwiches. A great breakfast are protein shakes. They are nummy and have tons of good stuff.

For some nummy bean recipes try www.vegweb.com

it depends on what type of vegetarian are you. If you are a lactovegetarian then you can make vegetable lasagna, vegetable low mein, you can make stir fried rice or stir fried vegetables with brown rice or white rice, you can make ziti and use cheese and the list goes on. On the other hand if you are a ovovegetarian, you can make eggs with toast for breakfast, and pancakes. and you can also eat what i suggested above (those with no milk). There are vegetarian burgers, hotdogs, nuggets, and the list goes on. you can make smoothies for snacks, etc.

Try tempeh and tofu.
