Any vegans out there?!
Any vegans out there?
is anyone out there a vegan? i would just like to know what some simple foods to buy are and what kind of clothes to wear...thanks for your help! im talking like 2 to 3 ingredients....

Many vegans go more extreme and boycott any fabrics made by companies that may use animal products or test on animals. As a general rule of thumb, though, just staying away from silk, suede, leather, fur... etc. Any clothing that is clearly animal.
Simple foods- that's the easy part. First of all, if you aren't a big cooking fan, check any larger store- not a walmart, but Hy-Vee, Price Cutter, etc, often have a product called "Amy's" which has a line of frozen entrees- vegan, gluten free mac and cheese, vegan "hot pockets" frozen pizzas, etc- all are made with organic ingredients. Read the labels, though, because Amys is ALL organic, and mostly vegetarian, but some products do contain meat and some are vegetarian but not vegan.
If you do like to cook, just find recipes for meatless versions of your faves. I like Italian, so I started making ratatouille. I cut up eggplant, zucchini, mushrooms, onions, garlic. and saute them in a pan with olive oil. Then I add a can or two of diced tomatoes with most of the juice and add some italian seasonings. Let it reduce (most of the juiciness absorbs) and enjoy.
Another option is to make a veg. chili with beans, tomatoes, and veggie burger if desired. Again, read labels. Not all veggie burgers are vegan. Some have egg in them. Drop all the ingredients in the crockpot, add a pack of chili seasoning and let it simmer all day.
Burritos or tacos are an easy fix, because black beans and refried beans in a can heat quickly.
Another thing I like is to take a starch, a bean, and any veggies and mix it all together. My fave is spanish rice with black beans, corn, tomatoes, salsa, green onions, but pasta with cannelini (white kidney beans), tomato, basil, olive oil, and spinach is tasty, too.
Good luck! Experiment and be creative!

Hi,
1) I am a vegetarian from my childhood. You can eat any vegetables, fruits, rice, beans like Kidney-beans etc, tortillas made with wheat flour (we call them as rotis) etc.
You can eat/drink all soups that are not mixed with any meat & chickenstock or beef stock etc.
2) I dont understand your question about what kind of clothes to wear.... Is there any dress code for vegetarians? If there is any, why is it?
