Meals to eat that don't contain meat?!

Question:

Meals to eat that don't contain meat?

I'm going to try it at being vegetarian/vegan whatever the hell it is, I just don't want to eat meat for a certain amount of time and need some foods I can make/eat/have.

Answers:
Go to your local health-food store or a good grocery store in your area and have a look in the organic/vegetarian section. You will find lots of frozen foods and dry or packaged foods, soups, so many things to give you good ideas.

Something simple is a baked potato topped with cottage cheese. Or you can top it with meatless chili. Or meatless chili AND cottage cheese mixed together. I've never tried that but it sounds good! :o)

Try making a stir fry but using firm tofu instead of meat.

Give Amy's frozen dinners a try too. They're delish.

Try to eat whole grain bread and pasta too. It's much better for you than the white stuff. Same with brown rice.

Good luck!

They now have veggie burgers if you get extremely desperate. I don't know if they have an organic grocery store in your area. Some of the microwaveable meals in the freezer section in the grocery store have some with no meat in them. Pastas, Mac and cheese. Soups. Good luck

Mac and cheese, spaghetti minus the meat with lots of vegetables like green peppers, onions, tomatoes, and mushrooms with sauce, vegetable soup, cheese pizza, etc.

Try indian noodles. I love them from my school's veg. canteen stall

Indianfoods are often veggie. AlooGobi, chanapindi, ask at the restaurant there is ussually a veggy alternative

Pinto beans, fried 'taters and greens with fresh cornbread on the side.
