what size motor should i look for?

I have been juicing for 20 plus years, and have had many juicers-from super high end, to thrift store bargains. My favorite, that I keep going back to, is a basic Waring Juice extractor. Its small, powerful, and super easy to clean. A tip: clean your juicer IMMEDIATELY after juicing, or it will be a mess. If you do it right away, it only needs a good rinse in hot water. Happy juicing! Your body will love you for it

All you should look at is the engine size. The stronger the motor, the longer it will last. Don't worry about colored cups are anything silly like that, they only use that to hide the weak motor that would burn out after 5 carrots.

By the motor and if it is strong enoungh not to break on carrot juice making or ice crushing

there are at least 2 major types of juicers available. Centrifigul and Triturating juicers. We've had both and are much happier with the Triturating juicer, although it is definitely more expensive. We have the Green Star 3000 and would recommend it to others looking to juice. It is very low noise, can handle wheat grass as well as other fruits and vegetables.

I don't recommend it if you're only going to use it once in a while.

One of the most important features is the speed of the motor. Faster juicers make juicer faster but slower juicers reduce oxidation effects.

I found a site you dealing with juicer reviews, so see if you can find your answer there.
