Answers:
One of my favorite dishes with tofu is a veggie stir-fry. Use firm tofu, cut into one-inch cubes. Let the cubes marinate in a soy or teriyaki sauce for an hour or so, then toss them into a hot skillet or wok with your favorite cooking oil and some chopped garlic, and let it brown for a few minutes. Add your favorite veggies, cook it up, and there you go!

Quick, simple and delicious.

I like my grilled firm taste better

Firm tufu is better because you can stir fry easily - soft tofu isnt as great as firm...

Easy Tofu Salad

1 block (16 oz.) firm tofu, drained and cut into cubes
1 medium tomato, chopped
4 green onions, thinly sliced
2 tbsp. Vegetable oil
1 tbsp. soy sauce
2 tsp. sesame oil
1 tsp. sugar
fresh spinach leaves
Toasted sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Pickled ginger for garnish (optional)

1. Combine tofu, tomato and green onions.

2. Combine oil, shoyu, sesame oil and sugar; blend well.

3. Pour dressing over tofu and toss lightly to mix. Chill until ready to serve. Place in bowl lined with lettuce.

4. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and top with pickled ginger.

This makes a lot, so you may want to go with 1/4 of all the amounts in the recipe. But it's a light and refreshing salad.

firm tofu is preferable, you can create your own recipes in tofu and its too easy... go to ;;; www.tofurecipes.com

You should use firm tofu. Soft and silken are good, but harder to prepare correctly (a good Chinese restaurant making braised (silken) tofu is great).

I generally use cooking oil, salt/pepper, basil, and then either soy sauce, soy paste, or vinegar. Simmer this for a few minutes on high. Use soy sauce or paste when adding most vegetables. Vinegar can be used for some vegetables like green beans.

I like to use diced tomatoes (either fresh or canned) when using a little soy sauce, since tomatoes easily adds flavor if you are not skilled at making tofu.

Cook some macaroni
Crush/grind one block of firm tofu (1/2 pound)

Stir some vegetables (sliced carots, broccoli,...), muschrooms, onions in butter. A Wok would be a good option.

Mix everything together in the pan or wok

Add honey-garlic sauce (commercial or home made)

You can add some cheese and do it au gratin.

Enjoy !
