Vegetarian protein?!

Question:

Vegetarian protein?

im thinking about becoming a vegetarian again,i was a lo healthier, but im body building now so i was wondering a good way to get protein as i usually stick to fish and chicken.

Answers:
It depends upon how strick a vegetarian you are thinking of becoming. Perhaps in your situation a Aquatarian might be the best option (eating fish but no other meat.)

Other options are eggs, or dairy products.

If you want to become a strict Vegan I would suggest alot of nuts, beans, tofu, soymilk and other soy products.
Since you are a body builder you might want to invest in some protein shakes.

Here is a good sample menu.

Eat veggie burgers.

tofu, rice and beans, nuts,...

Ok so if you don't give up dairy, cheeses and milk would be great. Beans are also a very good option. Finally there's soy protein that can be found in a variety of different forms.

almond , peanut excellent

beans

nuts, tofu, etc. eat veggie burgers by morning star. they taste really goooddddd

vegetarian protein is easy to get, and healthier than meat protein. You can eat beans, legumes, pulses, quinoa, millet, eggs, cheese, whole grains, rice, leafy greens, fruits, nuts, seeds, etc. Good luck!

Needing meat for protein is an urban myth! Protein and essential amino acids are readily found in Whole Wheat bread and pasta, Rice, and Corn - just about every healthy starch out there. If you eat these carbs as well as beans and spinach, and maintain a healthy calorie intake, you really can't be low on the recommended daily allowances of protein. If you really want extra protein, add a protein shake or bar to your daily snacks.

i usually get mines from leafy greens, beans, & skim/non fat milk.

tofu, soy, nuts, and beans.
