New Vegetarian?!

Question:

New Vegetarian?

I recently decided to become a vegetarian but trying to feed a family of four on veggie burgers and the like is really expensive. Is there any really good websites or recipies where I can make my own substitutes?

Honestly, just about any recipe can be made by omitting the meat: lasagna, pasta, casserole, fried rice, potato dishes, you name it.

First, it's really not that much more. A 4pk of veggie burgers (in my area) costs between $3 & $4, depending on sales (which one brand or another is almost always on sale). A pound of hamburger these days runs about the same (again, in my area).

That said, the fake meats aren't all that healthy anyways (undoubtedly better than the real thing though, fat wise, etc). Check out www.allrecipes.com. There is a vegetarian section. Browse the recipes there... I usually only try the ones with 4 or 5 "stars" - meaning others thought it tasted great.
