What is the difference between vegetarian and vegan?!
What is the difference between vegetarian and vegan?
I am thinking of becoming one. I am trying to eat only organic foods and buy meat (if I eat it at all) from a place where I know that it isn't from a factory farm.
Answers:
Vegetarians eat eggs and dairy products and drink milk, but no meat(including fish). They also avoid gelatin, lard, and cheese with animal rennet.
Vegans do not eat animal products and they don't use any animal products.
Vegans do not consume animal products.Vegetarians dont eat animal products either but they eat dairy products and eggs.
Vegan eats no meat, fish, eggs or milk-basically no animal/fish products at all. Vegetarian eats no meat/fish but does eat animal products that have not come about as a direct result of animal death, i.e. milk and eggs.
Well, you won't buy meat at all if you are a vegetarian or vegan. The difference between vegans and vegetarians is usually that vegetarians may have no ethical or moral objection to dairy products, like milk, cheese, or eggs. Vegans will not eat ANY product derived from an animal. It's a very strict diet, since many foods may have hidden animal products in them (ie. Gelatin may be made from animals) but from what I have heard from knowing people who are vegans, it's very healthy, and ethically rewarding.
From your description you are neither since you will be eating meat.
Vegetarian does not eat "living" things like meat. Eggs can be eaten because the egg market is made up of non-fertilized eggs and are thus not living and has zero chance of becoming a chick.
Vegan is "Vegetarian squared" does not eat anything living or byproduct of a living animal such as honey, milk, eggs, etc.. Cannot wear or own animal skin products either.
A vegetarian eats no meat(chicken and fish count!), but does eat eggs and dairy A vegan uses no animal products what so ever. This means no meat, wool, leather, lanolin(comes from a sheep), honey, and tons of other stuff...They even have to watch what vitamins they eat, as some B vitamins come from animal sources...I have been a vegetarian for half my life and I was vegan for about six months..Alas, I had to go bakc to eating eggs and dairy or I would have to get iron shots and 1)They HURT!!! and 2) I am scared of needles..So if you go vegan be sure to take supplements....Hope that helps somewhat!!!
Vegans are much more meaner and they hate everyone in the world except other vegans
Vegetarian are like a fruit salad with nuts added sweet and nice they laugh and are just nicer people
vegans have no sense of humor
vegetarians sometimes write jokes
vegan are always looking and gather food like they are the geico cavemen
vegetarians say i guess it will be ok to have some chicken soup today star burst ok mind if i have two
A vegetarian does not eat meat, but some will still eat eggs, cheese, milk, etc. A vegan does not eat any kind of animal products.
Vegetarians don't eat meat or animals. They do eat animal by products like milk and eggs. Vegans don't eat anything that comes from an animal.
VEGETARIANS EAT VEGTABLES,FRIUT,HERBS AND SOME DAIRY PRODUCTS. VEGANS EAT ONLY,RAW FRUITS,RAW VEGTABLES,RAW HERBS,SEEDS NUTS,GRAINS AND DRINK SOY MILK AND OTHER MILK.THEY DON,T DRINK ANIMAL MILK. PROCESSED FOOD,DAIRY PRODUCTS AND ANIMAL MEAT CAUSE SICKNESS AND DISEASE. THIS EXTREMELY POOR DIET HARMS OUR MIND,BODY AND OUR EMOTIONS.
Vegetarians are kooks. Vegans are fanatical, extra-weird kooks.
