Answers:
I have been a vegetarian all my life (i'm 20) and we don't worry about protein/getting enough. I'm doing fine. Vegetarian people get plenty of protein - - provided that they eat natural whole foods and no refined processed foods.

Vegetarians can eat beans, tofu and lentils/split peas... They can be prepared quite tastily... Hummus and falafel are made from chickpeas (I think), you can marinate solid tofu for a great stir-fry and lentil soup is delicious. I think there are different types of vegetarians... one type is no animal products period and another type is no meat (but milk, etc. is OK)... I love my dairy too...

Beans and other legumes and nuts are good sources of protein--this includes all soy products like soy milk and tofu, peanutbutter, and other nuts/nutbutters. Also whole grains like brown rice, oatmeal, and whole wheat have protein. If you are going to eat milk products, milk, yogurt, and cheese are other good sources of protein. If you can't eat eggs because you don't like them, then you may not want to eat tofu because it has close to the same texture, depending on how you prepare it. If you live in an area with a good health food store, they may sell tofu prepared in a variety of ways...some of which taste better than others. Otherwise, I would try an egg or two per week at least. Good luck being a vegetarian. It's not as hard as you might think.

i'm a vegetarian. just telling you so you know you can trust my answer. you can totally eat eggs and drink milk, unless you're planning to be vegan. vegans don't eat any animals or animal products. vegetarians just don't eat animals. for protien i take a vitamin every day and try to make a lot of my food with beans. there are a lot of foods besides meat with protien. good luck with your vegetarianism!

you can eat eggs and dairy unless you are a vegan. I would recommend you eat organic eggs, those are from vegetarian-fed, no hormones and free range chickens, so you can be sure they are cruelty-free. Do try soy milk, it's a little odd (but good) at first but then, you wonder how you ever did without it, it's great with oatmeal. There are other milks too, coconut, oat, rice and almond. Cruelty-free cow milk does not exist

milk is still good if you are not going to be a strict vegetarian. lentils are great! and tasty. chick peas, are good. If you think about eating eggs technically you are not really eating anything nonvegetarian cuz when you buy eggs they are not fetalized just an egg. something that never lived and will not and would not have lived. so you can eat eggs. I hope that this helps! good luck.

you can start off slowly. Just remove meat to begin with..most stay on eggs and diary until they full adjust..just start by making healthier meal choices and you will be fine.

Why are you going vegetarian?
Why didn't you tell me? I feel so bad now. :-(

If you are a vegitarian you can eat dariy products and eggs. If you happen to become a vegan, you cannot eat those foods.

A$H!
