What would you do with the cow?!
What would you do with the cow?
A cow is blissfully grazing beneath a tree in your yard. A big branch breaks, falls, and kills the cow. What would you do?
1. Let it rot.
2. Bury it and use it as fertilizer.
3. Cremate it.
4. Invite your friends over for a barbecue.
Do you have any other ideas?
Answers:
I would let nature take its course, so 1. Other animals could scavenge, animals that truely need to kill or eat dead corpses to survive. Humans on the other hand do not need meat, not for survival, not even for health.

i will take it to my grandfather, he'll cut it up, and we'll eat cheese burgers for dinner, I MEAN shoot we didnt kill him.!!!!!....... cant let all that meat go to a waste!!
barbecue is the way to go . if you have a deep freeze some could be saved for later but i would not waste it .also you could donate some to a charity kitchen in your area . call a few to see if they will come to pickup what they want .
Well, I'd first freak out... then go to the neighbors for help... there's a cow ranch around the block, I'dd have to go tell them one of their cows came to visit and well, sadly got killed by a fallen tree limb.
---- but on the non serious side, your question is funny!
fire up the grill and
fire up the grill and # 4 and get the beers out
I'd skin it, tan the hide, make a bitchen leather outfit! The rest of you can have the carcas and have a BBQ party while I'm looking good in my new duds, LOL!
the only pheasable option is to let it rot. All the others is alot of work. you cant bbq it becaue you have to move it to a clean location and moving a dead cow takes machinery.
you have to have big machinery to bury it. You set it on fire you might burn alot more than the cow. So I would let it rot, if you do not have close neighbors and the buzzards will eat it too. Sorry to rain on a parade.
I would bury it.
Cremate or bury it with appropriate funeral rites.
I would bury her.
I would also name her and have a funeral.
A cow funeral.
Megan the cow... Megan's cow funeral.
Oh and no I would not do the second part of that option, I would not use her as fertilizer.
I would not grow plants on Megan's grave.
Who would do such a thing?
Such disrespect... geez.
ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew 1 of all i would throw up !and not thank about it iwould ont give a number
Find the owner and return it to him.
I'd do #4 but I would give a large portion of the cooked meat to a homeless shelter.
I have a cow named Abigail. If something happened to her, I would mourn the loss the same as I would any other pet. I would have her cremated, and would sprinkle her ashes in the meadow she loves so much. This is a horrid question-what would you do if your pet died? Eat it? If a dog died, would you bbq it? Why cows?
Depends on the age of the cow. If she's too old, I wouldn't eat her. But if she's only a few years old, then hell yeah, I'd eat her.
bury it
find the owner of the cow, as they tend not to magically appear ownerless. i wouldn't suggest anyone eat a cow that was killed without knowledge of how that cow was raised - it may have an illness that's being medicated and is therefore unfit for human consumption. furthermore, some cows aren't bred for eating, but for other purposes so it may not be as tasty as you would like to believe. the cost of transporting a cow to a butcher or cremating it would be insanely expensive. if the owner couldn't be located i would call animal control before it started to stink up my place ;)
Hmm, how about neither of these? Or actually, make that #4, with a purely veg*n barbecue and show people the plight of the cow. The very sight may make them sympathetic enough to not eat any beef or other cow meat during that time.
Another option would be to...umm...sprinkle it all over with salt and other preservatives and wrap it up in plastic and maintain it as a statue as a momento. Or, donate it to a cow-worshipping place such as a Hindu temple. The benefits from doing such an action I would think would outweigh the costs of actually transporting the cow there.
Why I don't say yes to the other options:
#1 - no because it would stink up the place
#2 - never knew cows could be used as fertilizer, I thought it was only their dung
#3 - an option in my culture but the very thought sounds disturbing
I would bury it and have a little funeral. Just like I did for the mouse my dog killed last week.
None of the above, most likely the branch would not kill it but it could break a bone or two. So I would call the Vet and give Medical help. But if it did die I would give him a funeral.
If you are looking in to becoming Vegan take a look at this link http://www.vegan.org
I don't have a tree big enough to fall and kill a cow in my front yard.
i will kill it with a person that knows how to and then eat it
Since this is the vegetarian/vegan section, I assume you're just asking this to be stupid.
But I guess I would do #3, and not because I'm a hippie, I just don't have any other ideas.
I would call animal control and ask them how they would dispose of the body. Seeing as how I cannot move an entire cow on my own, I would use there advice to figure out what to do. I would want to burry it if I could or something along those lines. The poor cow!
