Why become one either? What are you talking about?
It's a wise decision.

I'm a vegetarian
No but I don't eat red meat or pork. I would have become a vegetarian because it is a more humane thing to do, but I needed a more adequate source of protein because plants don't provide enough.
I am not a vegetarian, but I rarely eat meat. I might eat procesed mead like vienna sausages or hot dogs, or chicken in bags...My dauther wont eat any meat neither vegetables, so what does that makes her?
im not one
mostly people become one on ethical reasons, "eating animals is wrong"
some use it for dietary reasons.
im not pesonally one. some people just do it because of their beliefs. they dont believe its right to eat animals, so they dont do it:) other ppl may not like the idea of eating something that was once alive.
im not! there is no point! even if you personally wont eat the damn chicken, dosnt mean that they will stop killing just as many cause theres a couple less people eating it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... THE GROCERY STORES DONT COUNT THEIR CHICKEN!!!!!!! well, they probly do, but you know what i mean.
Being a vegetarian is something you have to do on your own. YOU have to decide why you want to become a vegetarian. some people do it for dietary purposes, to stay healthier, and some people (like myself) do it because it is humane. visit any website about animal cruelty and you will be so heart broken. remember, animals are not ours to eat. we do not grow animals. so many people take things like this for granted and if you are asking this question because you are concerned or are taking the first step in becoming a vegan, then congrats! you are one of the many few who realize that eating animals is like eating babies. gross, i know, but if you have a pet, imagine eating it. its no different for any other animal. if you are not one of those few, then maybe you should consider it. im not trying to tell you what to do with your life. you do what you feel is right. if you feel that eating a once living, breathing, walking, talking "thing", then go ahead. and im sorry if i come off as a little rude. im not trying to be. i hope this answers your question in full. email me or IM me if you have any questions or comments.
Yes, - I don't eat ANY form of meat, whatsoever, - and, I'm PROUD of the fact!
It all started, because, MANY years ago, the Careers Officer, at school, sent me, - on WORK EXPERIENCE, - to a local ABBATOIR!
There, I saw the BARBARITY, of the way that the animals are TREATED, before slaughter, - so, - as a matter of CONSCIENCE, - I walked OUT, within TEN MINUTES, - and NEVER went BACK!
The sickening SOUNDS, - or, even the THOUGHT, of the STENCH, in one of those places, - is something, that, - even, NOW, - actually TURNS MY STOMACH!
yes. i'm one. i hopefully thank my parents for bringing me up like that.
Im a vegetarian and have been since I was 12. Now Im also vegan but not from choice, I can't actually eat dairy anymore, it makes me very sick...but I wouldn't chose that as I love dairy products!!! Being vegetarian firstly may prevent you from getting some of those awful bacterias and gastric bugs around, as many are the result of incorrectly prepared meat. Then don't forget the mad cows disease etc...personally I was never that interested in meat and hated to think what animals went through; but now I have a child I do prepare meat and would not want him to be vegetarian right now as he has a load of other dietary restrictions and it's tough to manage a childs diet without meat.
Vegetarianism should not be forced, it could be encouraged by preparing alternative and interesting vegetarian meals but it should be the individuals choice. Because if you force someone they will resent it and only rebell.
yes, i'm a vegetarian, because why should i have to let a company kill an animal so that i can eat when there are foods that taste just as good? i admit, if there were only vegetarian foods that tasted crappy, i would have a hard time being a vegetarian. but, these days, the vegetarian foods i eat taste the same as other foods with meat. it's just like the regular coke vs diet coke (or any other drink with splenda). if you can have your choice and you think they taste the same, why would you drink regular coke when diet coke has no sugar or calories???
I'm a vegetarian, because I believe it's the right thing to do.
Just think about this: nobody could possibly argue that it is more moral to kill an animal than let it live. This isn't something like religion which is really subjective. To me, the choice seems obvious.
I am not I am proud of my Steak! You know the west wasn't won on salad! And if God didn't intend for us to eat meat, he wouldn't have made it taste good. And for those that don't want to eat meat because it's living, well plants are living as well, studys have shown that plants can feel pain as well! Our bodies were made for meat and veggies, it's just the "Circle of Life". But if one believes it is wrong, then by all means you are yourself, and only you know what you want. So be yourself, don't let anyone make your disitions, whats the point of living if someone is going to do it for you! Ya'll eat and be marry> Lets work on the day that nobody dies, by anothers hand!
Carnivore here...........No idea why people become non meat eaters.
