For the Vegetarian peoples - Why did you chose to become a vegetarian?!

Question:

For the Vegetarian peoples - Why did you chose to become a vegetarian?

Answers:
never was crazy about meat, but last summer i lived alone so cooking meat was out of question, since the very thought that I'm touching dead flesh was grossing me out. It was also very hot and before I knew it it was a month since I last eaten meat. I realized I felt so much better without it and decided to give it up completely. Now it's been a year and in no way am I going back to eating meat. Although I do eat fish for protein and cuz I LOVE sushi. One more thing that keeps me away from eating meat is that I've lost some weight since I gave it up and look slimmer and feel healthier.

I'm not but my best friend is.....she says that the smell of meat grosses her out, and the thought of all the fat and whatever they inject those animals with in her body is just sickening.... she's been that for 3 + years now, and it is now to the point of disgust just upon the thought of meat..... actually right now we're about to go out to a vegetarian Indian restaurant.....yuck.....see ya later!

1)I Never liked meat. So It wasn't a huge deal to give it up.

2)I love animals, and I don't want any of them to suffer for me.

3)To be healthier. Which I have accomplished since I have become a vegan.

***Not to bust nuts, but asherrz, Drinking milk does hurt the cows. I just don't want anyone thinking that supporting the milk industry does not harm milking cows, It does.

Drinking milk is your choice, and I certainly don't think anything less of a vegetarian that consumes milk, I commend you for being a vegetarian. And I am definately not trying to push my beliefs on anyone that consumes dairy, But I just don't like hearing that the milk industry doesn't hurt the cows, because it does... So I am sorry if I am offending anyone, but don't say things like that unless you are prepared to hear the opposite. Because the truth is that dairy cows suffer tremendously.

Well I am supposed to be a vegetarian by religion.

i do because i am against animal cruelty and animals suffer in slaughter houses for us. It's healthier for you. And they put weird stuff in it . do u know in every package of chicken there is a little poop in it? ya i no gross! ( i think dairy products are fine 'cause they don't hurt cows to get milk)

because I didn't want too see anymore animals suffering,
I never really like the taste and the texture of meat
and I am also starting to become a vegan. I only 12.

Knowing that we are eating something that had a life, a family, and eats disgusting things, just ew. i dont know what people see in meat. it grosses me out. the thought of eating a cow or a deer or a chicken, is just like murder to me. how would u like being killed and then eaten? animals have feelings too.

ANIMAL RIGHTS AND TO DO MY PART IN NOT PARTICIPATING IN ANIMAL CRUELTY........

animal rights!

I became vegetarian because I didn't like the sight, smell, taste, or texture of meat.

I love animals
they never do anything wrong to deserve this
I'm unique
It's healthier
