Technically Milk is considered a vegetarian food. However this displays how outdated vegetarianism really is. Milk cannot be sold for profit on any scale above family farming without killing the calf, and the cow after she stops producing milk at a profitable rate. So wile yes, dairy products are considered "vegetarian" this fails to take into account the two deaths that result from milk consumption.

it's vegetarian but not vegan.
Rice milk and soy milk are vegetarian.
non veg.its a diet for the kids of animals and not ment for us.
Stupid..................... non veg.its a diet for the kids of animals
fan is mostly right vegans are a little step farther than vegetarians, they take in no product processed from an animal (milk, cheese, fried foods or others.) vegetarians vary a bit but usually will eat cheese and drink milk. some might even eat fried foods (vegans usually don't because it might have a trace of animal fat in it unless they are sure)
Have you heard of cream? it's derived from cows milk! it's full of animal fat's, so I'd guess it's pretty much a non- vegetarian food. Have a good day.
Vegetarian but not vegan
Although it sounds real simple, its a tricky question. Well, cows only give milk when its had a kid and then the kids killed cos it's already served it's perpos. Free-range milk is veggie but sometimes, nonfree range isnt, it's hard.
soya milk is veg.. milk is anyway not treated non veg and consumed by all veggies.........paneer, butter, ghee and curd is made out of cows milk... and even buddist monastries use milk and milk products
it is a vegetarian food
as it is not the flush of any animal/bird.
Milk obtained from animals is non-veg coz itz a product of animals whereas that obtained from plants is veg (eg coconut milk)
ne way who cares even plants are livin things so it doesn't matter whether itz veg/nonveg. What's important is that we get all the nutrients in required quantities.
it is vegetarian...becuase your not killing the animal in order to drink its milk but on the other hand the animal is still suffering becuase it is caged up and lives for the soul purpose of feeding animals. therefore it is not vegan. i would suggest trying vanilla flavored rice milk....its delicious. i dont like soy milk or regular milk but rice milk is great.
in a way its non vegetarian. many vegetarians feel that eating meat is wrong because the animals suffer and live bad lifes but dairy cows still suffer even tho there not getting killed they still live in dirty small Conditions
Stricly discussing, we donot even eat food:
Researches and our ancesters told that the milk of any kind is made for its babies: so takeing it and using it is bad;
Vegetarian concept: I will not agree, because we can think in different way: this is as a waste cmming out of the cow without any trouble
technically, cow's milk could be vegetarian. however, most of the commercially sold milk in the usa is fortified with vitamin d, some of which comes from pig skin. hence no, milk is not suitable for vegetarians. try almond, soy, rice, oat, hemp etc milk.
Vegetarians are of two types lacto vegetarians who consume vegetables nuts n fruits and in addition consume milk , the other group is called ovo vegetarians which consume eggs in addition to foods consumed by a vegan. Therefore we can say milk is a vegetarian food but not a food accepted by a vegan.
its vegitarian because you are not eating the actual animal you are just using its production it isnt vegan, though
Animal milk is vegetarian but not vegan.
You can get rice and soya milk which is vegan and vegetarian.
its considered vegetarian but not vegan
if u r a kind of person that doesn't eat anything that comes frm animals i suggest u use soy milk which is vegan!!
Most people consider cowmilk, goat milk and sheep milk as well as eggs vegetarian. When all animal derived things are left out such as leather, honey and fur you are considered a vegan.
It's a Vegetarian item it comes from a cow but the cow isn't killed for it! It's not Vegan cause Vegans don't use or take anything of animals.. they won't even use animal products on their skin or hair! Vegan's even ask about what their meds are made of. I heard one complain about capsules being made of gelatin.
