How many eggs are TOO many??!

Question:

How many eggs are TOO many??

I am a (lacto ovo) vegetarian. Is it bad that I eat eggs pretty much every other day?

Also, while I'm posting... Anyone have yummy tried and true recipes? Thanks.

Answers:
Eating more than three egg yolks per week is bad for your heart.

Source(s):
Learned it in high school

The problem lies in the yolk, you can eat as much white as your sweet heart desires, but take it easy on the yolk part. I like eggs fried and boiled. I make an egg salad from the boiled eggs. just simple chopped eggs, pickle relish, mayo, dab of mustard. Eat as is or in lettuce salad or in sandwich.

well i heard once a week is enough

Why would it matter? You just said you are a lacto-ovo! :)(BTW, the yolk is the food, and the white part is the chick. If you have issues with that, skip the chick!)

I could give you some spectacular recipes.......having said
be good to yourself

Two to three or four per week .

On Hogan Knows Best I saw that Hulk Hogan eats 24 egg whites a day. Ick. That's egg whites only, eating with the yolks might put your cholestrol on the moon (230mg per yolk). Try scrambled tofu or cut out some yolk usage!

no just limit to two LOL they do have cholesterol

There is no strong and direct relationship between the cholesterol in an egg you eat and the cholesterol that remains in your body. It is a myth that eggs cause an increase in cholesterol. In some studies, eggs have decreased cholesterol in some.

if your eating eggs your eating eggs. i dont eat eggs or milk and my mom says" but theres only a little bit" and i always say, thats like taking a bite of bacon. amount doesnt matter if your still putting it in your body. but if your a lacto-ovo, i geuss its okay to eat as much as you want, since your eating it anyways.
