Actually, there is a lot to eat....most meat substitutes are soy- or gluten-based, but if you season them well, they're really YUMMY! Recipes for nice tasting desserts are also available in abundance on the web....search for "vegan recipes" (chooseveg.com has instructional videos for some of their recipes). You should be able to get all you need from any health food store.
Vegetarian restaurants are springing up all over the place, so it would really depend on where you live.
Clothing made from synthetic fabric are widely available...no problem there. You really should take this one step at a time though.
P.S. Sunflower, flax and sesame seeds as well as raisins and prunes are really high in iron and folates....citrus juice helps with absorption. I was anemic when I was a meat-eater and I am not now.

Ok first off if you developed anemia since becoming a vegetarian, you need to make sure you take Iron supplaments that are vegan friendly, talk to you doctor, they should help.
Second as for food, there is a lot of things you can eat but you do have to be careful. Tofu comes in various forms and is very easy to transform into some meals you loved in the past. Luckily since it is so porous, all the flavors you cook with get absorbed and it ends up tasting delicious. As for dairy, in a lot of grocery stores a speciality stores such as wild harvest, you can get a lot of diary products made out of soy, so you can enjoy that bowl of cereal with soy milk, or a nice slice of soy cheese heaven.
As a vegan though, you are suppossed to cut out all dairy which includes most normal processed cheeses, as well as yogurt, milk, and eggs. Also honey is a no no too. As for what to wear, if it is made out of leather, suede, any type of animal products, it is not vegan. Clothing and synthetic fibers have comes a long way to meet the needs for a larger growing Vegan population and you can usually search online for Vegan clothing.
As for at resturaunts stick to the basics you know will not contain any meat but avoid fried foods, most places have vegetarian options, just inquire if they are cooked near or on the same surfaces as meat. Also look into some vegetarian resturaunts in your area, I am sure they are quite a few and you could learn how to make some great dishes. Good Luck with your quest, hope this helped!
