Question:

What to marinade tofu in?

what is your favorite marinade for tofu? =] thank you

Answers:
SoyVay Very Veri Teriaki

I don't really know what you mean by marinating...but to keep my tofu a few days longer, i soak the whole thing in salt water.

before i cook it, i soak it in cold water(ice cold water) for a few minutes to get rid of the saltiness

SOY SAUCE!

Soy sauce, a pinch of salt, and half a small can of sliced mushrooms in juice. After cooking, garnish with chopped green onions. Mmm.

Beef broth. :P

My sister and I marinade it in steak sauces and it is soo good when you bake it. It is also good when it hasn't even been cooked yet. The leftovers are great for on top of a salad too. There are soo many different flavors to pick from so you dont have to go with the classics like teryaki or baraque, although they are pretty good also. We like to expirement wiht all differetn weird flavors. Good luck!

Acctually it is very good in steak sauce ^.^ I also like it with a mixture of soy sauce and suger =]

Any flavor you like will work. It has no flavor and is basically a sponge. If you slice it thin and marinate it in soy sauce, you can cook it crisp and make a mock blt that is pretty good.

Soy sauce and orange juice with a splash of lemon juice and some garlic.
