What's the best tasting 'non-dairy' milk?!

Question:

What's the best tasting 'non-dairy' milk?

Answers:
Silk is by far the best brand. The Very Vanilla is like a vanilla shake, very sweet. The Chocholate is just like the dairy counterpart.

Silk Soy Chocolate

Silk... hands down. I'm not vegan or even vegetarian, but I love Silk.

my grandma uses silk... it tastes pretty good.

well powdered non dairy milk you make with water

vanilla soy milk

silk-vanilla. it is so good on raison nut bran.

I really love 8th Continent Vanilla.
Silk is good, but 8th Continent has a much sweeter, stronger vanilla flavor. It's so good over Rice Krispies, it tastes just like a Rice Krispie treat!

If you don't like it that sweet though, I'd definitely recommend Silk vanilla.

Rice dream, enriched vanilla. Soy has been so genetically modified in the US you never know what your getting....unless it is organically certified. Rice dream also makes great ice cream bars. Yum.

Horchata.....oh yeah, good stuff!

I'm all about Rice Dream. I have indeed tried the other non-dairy types (soy milk and almond milk), but Rice Dream is my fave. It has a consistency similar to skim milk if you like that.
Silk is sweet-tasting and kinda thick. I drank that for years and never had any problem...their chocolate milk is quite good! I just prefer RD.

I like Silk soymilk but get either Plain or Chocolate...the Vanilla tastes like...eew.

Any kind of almond milk. Tastes better than soy and rice milk, it's creamier.

Just a cautionary note that a lot of the soy milk products are very high sugar content. They taste good for that reason, but they are not really that good for you because of the sugar. Almond milk is rich but somewhat fattening. Rice Dream Chocolate milk or Vanilla milk is my preference -- it's watery, but it's the best for the body in terms of natural ingredients and balance.

It definitly depends on what your looking for:
Rice milk, almond milk, soy milk...
The secret is to blend it with something else: a pinch of cinnamon, a little of vainilla, dates, two or three pieces of almond (in case you are using other than almond milk), sweeteners, etc.

What I like most is a banana+cold water+two dates for cereal (and it′s raw so it′s a real yahoooo for breakfast)
For a hot chocolate I preffer soy milk or rice milk.

Even though I like soy milk many people really hate the flavor so it may not be a good way to make non-diary popular. Rice milk, instead is generrally well accepted and loved (plus it′s easier to make at home)

In Mexico there is a beverage called horchata, it′s with rice and cinnamon... yummie!

I think the only limit is your imagination :) but it definitly is better to turn to organics.

Silk

I like Silk-Rice Dream is pretty good too.

Soy milk Yummy!!!!!!! I don't like rice milk at all!

Agree with the Silk Heads!

Make your own almond milk - soak organic almonds overnight in (filtered) water. Then throw them into the Vitamix blender with some water. Really good: brew some chai tea with very little water and mix that with the fresh almond milk for a warm breakfast drink (don't cook the almond milk!) Sprinkle some cinnamon on top.
I used to drink soymilk a lot, also hazelnut milk, almond milk, rice milk, oat milk, mixed nutmilks, all from the store. Then I read about carrageenan being carcinogenic, and found that almost all brands in the US use carrageenan in nutmilks, even some organic ones. In Europe, they aren't allowed to. They still use seaweed in some brands to stop the nutmilks from separating (and I hope 'seaweed' is not a cover up for carrageenan), but it's much healthier (the soymilk I bought in the UK tasted so much better than the US ones, plus it had fewer not-so-good ingredients). After trying all the possible alternatives to non-dairy milk from the store, I find that the best tasting one is the home-made version.
