If you were absolutly starving?!
If you were absolutly starving?
would you eat a steak or a single lettuce
there is no other choice
and suppose that you have to journey 80 miles on foot over the mountains to reach a loved one (be it a child or spouce parent etc.)now what would you choose and state whether you are a vegitarian or carnivore
Answers:
I would take the lettuce and get as far as I could. people have gone further on less.
A steak of course.
Steak - carnivore.
carnivore just don't eat red meat but i say slice steak up add to lettuce lol makeing it filling but go with lettuce if watching weight
the steak but only if it was life or death.
well, i LOVE to eat MEAT. i would take the stake because it is filling and would give more energy and power
I'm a vegetarian and have answered many a question like this i would rather starve than eat an animal it goes against all my principals the way animals are treated for slaughter i would just think of all the vivid images Ive seen on Peta's web site and remember I'm doing the right thing
steak- carnivore.
1.) more energy,
2.) more focused,
3.) whoever says they can survive on just lettuce needs to travel 80 miles with just lettuce and we'll see if he/she'll make it.
steak and anyone elses lettuce but i b doing no treaking over mountains
I'd eat both I'm starving
Not much of a choice is is really !!! The steak wins every time ...... |and in that situation i'd still eat the steak even if i was a veggie!
Veggie !
and would have to be the lettuce !
there would probably be some other form of plant life along the way anyway !
I am vegan.
If it were life or death I would eat what was available.
How one answers this question greatly depends on why one choses to eat what he/she eats.
steak- carnivore who would also kill animals if necessary.
I would pick steak I love meat.I hate almost all vegtables.
I would eat the lettuce. Meat is nasty. I am a vegetarian. I would make do with all of the healthy vitamins stored in my body. I was crippled when I ate meat, now I am perfectly fine
Lettuce, i couldn't eat something that once had a heartbeat. Or parents.
It's the lettuce, sweetie. I mean, look at it this way, if it was eat meat or die myself, I'd be severely tempted... if people are going to starve though, they start eating all sorts of crazy things, like moss, earth, insects, and then there are those that turn to cannibalism... but hey, assuming I was able to make a rational choice, it's the lettuce...
An 80 mile hike through the mountains? Are you crazy? I'll never make it... even if I ate the steak, I wouldn't make it. Walking speed is 4 mph, but it's mountainous terrain, so it could get a lot slower in places- maybe 1 mph, or .5 mph... anyhow, given the terrain, say I averaged 10-15 miles hiking a day, it's going to take between 5 and 8 days. There's no way I'd take that kind of journey without proper supplies... I did expeditions with on D of E for just 3 days, and the pack I had to carry was not small... in other words, the scenario you envisage is poo with the options you give. I take the lettuce, and take the damn train...
I am vegetarian and I am not planning to eat meat ever, but if it would be for the sake of a loved one who is in danger or seriously ill and needed my help I would thank the animal for its sacrifice so I can help my child or partner. But hey, why dont I just bring my own food insted and dont worry about the poor cow???
I'm vegan.I'd go with the lettuce.
Odds are I'd find some edible plants in most mountain valleys but even if I didn't 80 miles is about 2-3 days walk depending on the terrain and provided you have water and are not a stick thin supermodel you can go far longer than that with no food at all.
def the lettuce! even if it was a GM lettuce i wld rather eat that than the meat and I hate the thought of GM food! lol!
obviously a veggie and proud of it!!!!
i am a child and i am 9 and i would eat lettuce
I would eat the steak (cooked of course).
A meat eater here.
So, if you are a Starving Christian and a minister was slowing you down because of terminal illness, and keeping you from your family that was 80 miles away, would you kill him and eat him? Or is murder still murder?
This is kind of a ridiculous question that has little to no basis in reality.
What I would do has to do with the situation as it actually occurs. Not with made-up unrealistic hypothetical questions that would never come true.
Even in a more realistic hypothetical situation, like being lost/stranded and you get either coconuts or a rabbit, it still would completely be situational. I would weigh the importance of my survival, the chances of other types of food, and the need for meat. I would also ask whether I would kill my cat or dog or husband for its flesh. And since the answer is "never", then I don't know that I would be able to kill another animal instead. Lack of Familiarity doesn't make it ok.
i would eat the lettuce. i am a vegetarian and could never ever eat an animal. animals have feelings you know. "all creatures even the simplest, love life and seek protection from harm." if every one knew the suffering the animals go through you would eat the lettuce too.
Steak(all the way) -Carnivore
many of my classmates have asked me this. to them, i say that i'd rather starve than eat a piece of meat of any kind. i'd graciously take the lettuce. i've been a vegetarian for three or so years now, and to eat steak would betray my abstinence.
the 80 miles on foot thing is just a bit too extreme. however, my loved one would most likely understand that if he/she were to bear with my traveling 80 miles on foot just to see them, they had better prepare my funeral beforehand.
Gypsy if you think anyone can travel 80 miles on just steak, you need to travel 80 miles on a single steak and see if you make it.
I am carnivore & would definately choose the steak because a 80 mile journey for any of my loved ones would require some stamina & steak would definately preside over lettuce on that score.
I'd choose steak because it would keep me full longer and give me the energy I'd need to reach my loved one. I do eat meat.
