First of all, cukes are NOT pointless. They are one of the few veggies that are delicious RAW. Raw food is essential to good health. Like salads of baby lettuces with pecans and raisins or currants. All fruits and vegetables are good for you, just try to eat as wide a variety as you can and try to but local and/or organic whenever possible--carrots are usually easy to get. Sweet potatoes are excellent. Just try to avoid refined sugar, high fructose corn syrup, processed food, red meat, and milk produced with hormones. Make sure to have some raw and some high protein stuff--like nuts and beans--every day and try to work in some seaweed a few times a week. fatfreekitchen.com has a lot of nutrition articles. Oh and baby massage is crucial as is Montessori preschool. Best of luck.
