Why does lettuce always ggo so bad so quick?!

Question:

Why does lettuce always ggo so bad so quick?

Answers:
Lettuce goes bad quickly if it is improperly stored. Lettuce should be washed in icy cold water, remove the fibrous stem and dry thoroughly. If it gets a little limp after a couple of days, recrisp in another bath of cold water.

Once you open the bag , the air gets into it .Take a Bounty Towel and wrap it in that .
This is a good way to keep your lettuce nice . i do it all the time ;
Take the head of lettuce and wrap it in a Bounty Towel and then take a zip-lock bag and put it in that and then put in the refrigerator , and every time you go to use it again make sure you do the same thing as far as wrapping it up and it will not get brown and it will stay nice .

Like all food, lettuce is perishable. It's a delicate leaf, and just like a flower, once it's picked, it starts to go bad.
To keep it longer, I rinse it well, shake it, then stick it in a ziplock bag or a sealed bowl with dry several napkins in it.
A ziplock works best, as you can squeeze all the air out of it, as air seems to make the lettuce go bad faster.
With this method, my lettuce will last up to a week and a half in my fridge. Change the napkin when you grab more lettuce. If your lettuce is dry, then throw a damp napkin in there.
Works like a charm!

its loaded with lovely raw enzymes, that form ethelyne gas and bread down quickly. I eat too much of it to let it go bad, I love it!
