Vegetarians...do you remember the last time you ate meat?
For me, it was 12 years ago and I bought 2 chicken fajitas from McDonalds. I ate one and threw the other out in disgust. That's the last time!

When I was 16 I ate 3 pieces of pepperoni pizza the night before I decided to go vegetarian. That was 6 years ago.
well ive been a vegetarian my whole entire life, but i was accidently served meat (i thought it was fake meat) at a resteraunt like a year ago...
Technically, it was 2 years ago when my brother tried his (supposedly plain cheese) quesadilla from Taco Bell and didn't like it. He didn't get a bite with meat in it and no meat was visible, so I offered to finish it for him. I took a bite and tasted a strange consistency that seemed oddly familiar, spit it out onto a napkin and looked at the quesadilla where I had bitten it, and there was a huge chunk of chicken. Ew!
But as in "last official omni meal", I have no idea.
I was at Ponderosa, and had steak.........was full of blood. I didn't order it like that, and it made me realize that it was a living animal at one time. To top it all of, my step-father ate it and used rolls to soak up the blood too ughhhhhhh!!!!! *throws up*
My last experience was also at Taco Bell. It was in November. My husband and I had gone to Southern Louisiana with a group from our church to do hurrican relief/mission work. We were riding back with some friends and stopped at Taco Bell and Arby's my husband and the other husband in the group (two couples) went to Arby's while the other wife and I went to Taco Bell. I thought I had ordered the burrito without meat. I'm emphatic on it. The person said I didn't. Anyway, I took a bite while we were still in the parking lot. Because I'm not one to make a fuss, I was thisclose to not saying anything. However, I did not want to wimp out on my morals. So I went in a complained. I told the woman behind the counter that I said without meat, she said that I didn't. I was hoping for a refund, even though every member of the group was given spending money. So it's not like it was "my" money, it was the principle of the thing. I should have done the survey through the toll free number that was on the receipt, but I made sure I left it with my money and receipts. Ick.
Actually, my last experience was two weeks ago. I brought home what I thought was a veggie burger from my in-laws that I thought I might have left there. (They said that the pattie had been in there for awhile and it looked veg. That's one of the reasons why I mark my food when I go there. I was also taking home all of the veggie "meat" my SIL, who is transitioning, tried and didn't like.) Well, I stuck it on my electric grill and when it was done, it looked oddly greasy, too greasy for a veggie burger. I took a bite and it seemed salty and didn't quite taste like a veggie burger, and I've had all of the major brands. So I spat it into the sink, and stuffed it with the rest of the hamburger into the garbage disposal and said a prayer for the cow(s) as I ground it up. I guess I should have known better than to trust something unknown from a heavy meat eating family. (I still have to clean my grill. I don't even grill on the side that the hamburger was on. It's contaminated.)
2 years ago. i just couldn't look at meat anymore
I don't know why anyone would choose not to eat meat....I just don't get it, but to each his own.....I'm only sorry you chose that crap whole to eat you last bite of meat.....Maybe if I ate there I would do the same...bleck!
I've always been a happy vegetarian, I've been brought up that way and like it. I did make the mistake once of forgetting to ask if this stir-fry vegetable dish I ordered came with soy sauce, as opposed to fish sauce or oyster sauce. After a few bites I realized it tasted funny and apparently oyster sauce was in it. They kindly exchanged for free with a pure vegetarian dish.
But no, I've never actually eaten meat.
yes. i used to eat top ramen noodles, until a few months ago when i found out there was actual meat in the flavoring! i felt horrible and i never eat the noodles with the flavoring anymore.
7 years ago. The day before I my first day of college.
I have been vegetarian for 16 years, but I accidentally ate a piece of a scallop mixed in with a "vegetarian" dish about 7 years ago. I almost vomited over the entire table when I found out what it was.
